Pizza Napoletana
Favorites place to go for Formia pizza (tuna, onions, garlic, & green peppers) A few blocks away from the Jean Talon Market, & just 2 blocks from Patisserie Alati-Caserta (cannoli) We shared a mixed green salad & started with their famous meatballs Amazing ! Fun ambience, especially during Euro Cup, & it's bring-your-own-wine
All the workers were very nice & friendly. I had high expectations given the name " napoletana" unfortunately it tasted like regular pizza nothing Italian at all.
Nice social atmosphere where you can bring your own drinks & enjoy traditional Italian food. There was a wait outside the restaurant, & the place was tightly packed, which might feel claustrophobic to some. The pizzas were decent, as was the gnocchi, but definitely not the best.
seems popular for no reason. Pizza was not good, tried a side dish & it was also not tasty. Personal was not kind also.
Always good....hot, fresh & delicious every time. Pastas, pizzas, eggplant parm all served at reasonable prices & good portions. To top it off have the frozen lemon dessert served in a real lemon....it's incredible!! Sit outside in the summer & bring your own wine. You can't go wrong here. Be ready to wait on busy weekend nights but they are open late so you can arrive at 9pm & walk right in.
Mediocre Pasta & Pizza disguised as Authentic Food in Little Italy Neighborhood 😆 Great Ambience & service though. The food here is mediocre at its best. The pizza dough does not have enough hydration & is crunchy, rather than chewy. Neopolitan pizza is around 80-90% hydration producing a chewy tasty pizza. The pizza here is the exact opposite to that. The pasta is probably the worst I have ever eaten. Pasta was half baked, & tasted bland. From the looks, this seemed like an authentic restaurant, so I wantd to order Carbonara. As the Menu was confusing, I asked the waiter for carbonara & was told to order a pasta. Turns out that it's using Bacon instead of Pancetta. I pointed this to the waiter, & he was kind enough to change it to another pasta. That was even bad, & made me regret ordering pasta at all. Overall, the food is meh, & does not even feel authentic except for the looks If you are looking for the authentic Italian food, take your money elsewhere.
Delicious!! We ordered the pennine tre fromaggi & the pizza Napoletana & the pizza Formia. It was all very delicious 👌🏻 the service was great & I really enjoyed the experience!
I used to love this place-it was my go-to spot in town. But something's changed. The last pizza I had there just wasn't the same. The cheese was soggy, there was hardly any sauce, & the crust was almost nonexistent. It was a big letdown. Sadly, I don't think I'll be going back.
Atmosphere is good & in the restaurant there is big cozy tree. I will leave photo of pizza & you can decide if you want to go here. Cold pizza, no airy edge, dry, dough is hard.
So driving around, the neighborhood seemed dead, that is no one was out. Perhaps because it was still chilly. But when we walked into the restaurant it was very lively. Families & friends getting dinner enjoying themselves. We came for dinner on a Tuesday I believe, it was pretty busy but we were seated right away. We all ordered pizza. Boring I know, but it was very good. It wasn't very expensive either. If you're looking for a place to eat & not sure where to go, come here. Parking is street parking, we had no trouble finding parking.
Not what it used to be. Was good when it was one of the first to introduce Neapolitan style pizza to Montreal but others have far super-ceded them over time. If you're looking for authentic & delicious pizza/pasta, this is definitely NOT the place. Overly hyped.
ok so lets start with the entree's , the salads ? really guys !? You call those $15 to $21 salads good ? Omg please straighten that out immediately ,you serve $1 worth in a small bowl with small pieces of palm hearts ? Shame on you. No 2 ,lets talk about what was a staple of mine for so long ,the salsiccia Rocco , $17 for 2 pieces of over dried sausage in a now terrible oil herb dressing ! 3 . I know not to order the pasta , but people seem to like paying $23 for penne Rose or tortellini , tasteless over creamed small dishes of mushy pasta . Now for the better part of this review , I always order pizza there ,because its generally well executed ,& it was ( tutta bella) all the time . Ordered fresh basil on the side (no charge) . The Service is always fair & the guys try very hard to accommodate people as best as they can .Yes its very hard to keep a smile when the place is jammed packed & very very loud , but they do a very good job .Sal & the crew always show tons of respect even when under so much pressure. This is an honest review from a 40 year patron of this place . We were 8 people & we all agreed that everything was sub par for the entree's & pasta, quality was not there & prices have gone over the top . Bring back the taste of 25 yrs ago please adjust your prices accordingly
