Unfortunately the food did not meet our expectations, maybe the quality of our food had an impact because of the huge rush during which we showed up.. the steak itself was dry as much as in our Steak Frites than in our Pinnacle Cheesesteak.
the long line, people shoving to get in & out of the restaurant, the loud noise can easily cause overstimulation. But i'm still glad to have tried it out :)
Ordered the steak frites which was delicious but when I received my order initially it was cold. I brought my concerns to the staff after taking a bite & the reaction I got made me feel uncomfortable. There was no apology, just an expression from the staff that made me feel like they thought I was lying. It was fairly busy so I understand how it could be unlikely to receive cold food. The quality was good after my order was corrected but the interaction overall ruined my appetite.
First off, I'd like to say that I enjoyed my experience at Pinnacle Wagyu Deli. I ordered the steak frites, & the quality of the steak was very good. My only disappointment was that I wasn't asked how I wanted it cooked. The steak arrived medium to medium-well, whereas I normally prefer rare or medium-rare.
The fries were quite tasty, & the sauce paired with them was excellent. However, the portion of sauce provided was a bit disappointing considering the amount of fries served I found myself running out well before finishing them.
Overall, it's a great spot with a lot of potential. The food quality is there, & with a few minor adjustments, such as asking customers for their preferred steak doneness & providing a larger sauce portion, the experience could be even better.
Finding a place like this in Old Montreal was truly a surprise. Honestly, everything was far beyond my expectations. The space is small but has a cozy atmosphere. The service was also quite fast. The prices are a bit high, but they're definitely worth it for the quality. Overall, I was very satisfied. I will definitely come back.
I enjoyed the taste of their steak, especially the fries. The steak was tender, but they didn't ask about your preferred level of doneness. While the overall food quality was good, we were disappointed with the portion size & price.
Another thing to consider is that they don't serve you, & they use disposable plates. This might affect your decision on whether to tip.
Finally, the utensils weren't suitable for eating the steak or even the fries. The fork & knife were useless for either.
My expectations for this place were quite high, mainly because the advertising looks really appealing. However, after trying it, I felt a bit disappointed.
The meat, overall, is decent-nothing exceptional, but it does the job. Unfortunately, the fries were a major letdown. It felt like they were rushed during cooking; they were undercooked on the inside, lacked flavor, & overall were poorly prepared.
On the positive side, the special mayo is really good & stands out.
If they improve the quality of the fries, this could easily become a great combination. For now, though, it's good meat & a great sauce paired with very low-quality fries.
I had a really great experience at Pinnacle Wagyu. You can tell they take a lot of pride in the quality of their food, & the beef really stands out. My personal favorites are the steak & fries & the Pinnacle cheesesteak. The steak was cooked perfectly & full of flavor, & the fries were crispy & delicious. The cheesesteak was also super juicy & packed with flavor.
First time customer & definitely not the last time! We ordered the Cheesesteak sandwich with a side of Caesar salad. The sandwich was amazing; the steak was great quality & was cooked perfectly. It melted in your mouth. The cheese & sauce were perfect. The Caesar salad was a pleasant surprise & was a great side meal. Overall a 10/10

The beef was perfectly cooked-juicy, flavorful, & packed with that signature Wagyu richness that melts in your mouth. The fresh lettuce & tomatoes added the perfect crisp balance, & the bun was soft yet sturdy enough to absorb all the delicious juices from the patty without falling apart. Every bite was a perfect combination of flavor & texture. The fries were equally impressive-crispy, golden, & served in a generous portion easily enough for two people to share. From presentation to taste, everything felt thoughtfully crafted. Pinnacle Wagyu Deli clearly takes pride in quality ingredients & top-tier preparation.
