Pincette - Bar à Homard shines in Old Montreal as a lively, welcoming seafood spot where the lobster takes center stage from poutine and ravioli to rolls and oysters, with many praising the friendly, attentive service and the chic yet cozy ambiance, the strong drinks program, and the terrace for people watching, while a few notes about busy hours, value and occasional menu changes balance the overall picture.
A great cozy place. We headed into to escape the cold, wet weather. Had a nice bowl of soup (carrot / leek) & cup of tea.
Atmosphere we warm & inviting. Food was delicious. A great find.
When we think of our time in Montreal, we'll think of Pincette & of Marie. Her warmth & professionalism elevated an already beautiful experience. The atmosphere is upscale yet inviting-chic, urban energy softened by French country touches. Every detail-from the food to the presentation-felt thoughtful, elegant, & memorable. Marie was warm, polished, & attentive-we were instantly at ease which made our lunch even more magical.
An absolutely incredible experience at Pincette - Bar à Homard. The oysters & lobster were truly out of this world fresh, perfectly prepared, & bursting with flavor. You can really taste the quality in every bite.
The customer service was just as impressive. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable, & went above & beyond to make sure everything was perfect. That level of care & attention really elevates the whole experience.
If you're a seafood lover, this place is a must. Easily one of the best dining experiences in Montreal!
The food & drinks were very good! We had the shrimp cocktail as an appetizer, which was presented beautifully & also came with a salad. The scallop risotto was very cheesy, which I liked, & my husband loved the lobster roll. It was quiet around 6:30pm when we arrived but quickly filled up by 7:00.

We waited about 20 minutes just to get a menu (it was not busy as we went around 3pm between lunch & dinner) we were there for some drinks & oysters. We ordered 12 Oysters & every single one had many pieces of broken shells in them & they weren't cut off of the muscle that attaches them into the shell. So we had to use the tiny spoon to loosen them off the shell. So we could eat them. It was an awful experience to say the least. Sitting there waiting with not even a glass of water. I asked my husband'do they want us to leave?' … disappointing that we spent close to $120 on that experience.
Our server, Juliette, was fantastic. She was warm & welcoming, & made us elderly folks feel comfortable. She took great care of us & was very professional. Juliette is a great asset to your team.
