Pincette - Bar à Homard shines in Old Montreal as a lively, welcoming seafood spot where the lobster takes center stage from poutine and ravioli to rolls and oysters, with many praising the friendly, attentive service and the chic yet cozy ambiance, the strong drinks program, and the terrace for people watching, while a few notes about busy hours, value and occasional menu changes balance the overall picture.
Lobster & crab poutine. Photo says it all. It was my favorite thing I ate in Montreal! The server kept us laughing quite a bit too, very friendly. My friend had the lobster roll & octopus salad. Highly recommend Pincette.

Superbe accueil & service impeccable.
I had the lobster egg Benedict & was surprised about the quantity of the lobster on the plate. Literally less than two bites. On one egg it was even half the size of bite than the other. The poutine is definitely a better choice. Walked out very disappointed.
We've been to this restaurant for a brunch. We ordered orange & passionfruit smoothie, which was very delicious. For main course we ordered lobster poutine with hollandaise cheese, which was very delicious & I really love it & waffles with chicken, which was OK but the chicken was way too crispy for me. The service was good. It was a bit slow because we went on the weekend & it was very busy there, but the atmosphere was nice.
We ordered the soup & ratatouille to start which were a perfect beginning to a beautiful meal. The main course of ½ Lobster & Lobster Poutine were out of this world. By far our best meal in Canada so far. Perfect location in Montreal old town surrounded by beautiful buildings, we would definitely say the walk from our hotel was worth it. Everything was topped off by the wonderful service we received from Vana who couldn't do enough for us. She was so friendly, cheerful & helpful throughout the meal. If you're in Montreal definitely put this place on your list.
Try the home made lobster ravioli. It was incredible. The one thing to note is that the protion is not huge. But we had already had appetizers so it was perfect for me. The best appetizers we had were the Ceasars salad (made properly with anchovies) & the grilled octopus.
If you are really hungry- another at my table had the surf & turf which looked really good but was eaten so fast I did not get a chance to try!
Another person with us had the poutine- it was ok & had good crab & lobster meat. But in Quebec there are lots of places for poutine.
Bonjour,

Excellent seafood & good cocktails, for a restaurant in the tourist area this is a gem. The lobster poutine is excellent but the scallops are the best.
Googled for a French & seafood combo restaurant in old town during our 8 hour layover & landed on this one randomly. Amazing spot! Great atmosphere, outdoor & indoor seating, friendly staff, & spectacular food!! Would definitely come back again. We got the poutine, the tuna, & the white sangria... All were absolutely delicious!
Enjoyed lunch on table on the sidewalk table.
Good food. I had mackerel spread on toast with kale leaves, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, carrot julienne, etc., topped with an egg poached & some caviar, & of course a double espresso with hot coffee ...
My son had a very tasty Lobster Poutine ...

Was looking to eat a lobster roll for lunch & decided on the lobster poutine instead. It was delicious! The lobster was cooked perfectly & the gravy with a mayo sauce that tasted like lobster was chef's kiss. A must when in Old Montreal. Rose was very nice.
The decor & waitresses are good. The problem is that the menu contained only 4 items, mismatching the menu online. They did admit the mistake & offered us a complementary dessert. The food overall a bit overpriced, 38 for a poutine, & wasn't special..
The service, food, atmosphere, everything was excellent! Tommy took amazing care of us & even had a replacement wine tasting when our selection want in stock. Can't recommend this place enough. Get the Lobster roll & poutine!
Visited Montreal for the first time, & this was a really nice place to stop by for lunch. Had lobster poutine & a lobster roll with my mother-- they were amazing after a day of walking around the old Montreal.
Our server, Marie was very caring & helped us with the menu because we weren't good with French. She was exceptionally attentive & helpful! Merci! Thank you for making our visit memorable.
