A must try! Portions are small but very rich in flavor & color. We were just looking at everyone's order around us. The mix of tastes with the artistic play of colors satisfies all senses! It was not pricy as I imagined. The beverages were unique. They have a great chef! I ordered Salade Costena de Pieuvre. It was full of Octopus meat & very tasty. My friend had the French Toast & she said it was very light & not comparable to anything she has tried before! It was served with an apple sauce, she felt it tasted like heaven I highly recommend it. Its small you've better reserve. The vibes are great for young people. The music is a bit loud if you look for a cozy place. I really admired the interior design. You will not be disappointed! Piel Canela in Montreal is truly a gem! Although it was a bit far from our hotel, we decided to give it a try - & we're so glad we did. The service was cordial, friendly, & quick, making us feel right at home. We enjoyed a delightful breakfast along with a few cocktails at 11am (5pm somewhere in the world!). Very cute restaurant!!! Anael & Jessica were absolutely lovely! Came around with a basket of baked goods to start.... the Pan de Muerto was so fresh! Tried the Le Pain Doré des Tropiques & it was so decadent! The maracuya cream was divine! The Cascada Peluda was a fantastic smoothie...very fresh. BEST breakfast I've ever had. The French toast... was to die for... I could've eaten like 8 plates. The ambiance was absolutely incredible, the drink selections was absolutely ridiculous - the variety, & the creativeness. Was a little confused at first as our waitress approached us in a different language every time she came to our table. But very friendly & fast. I wasn't expecting to find great Mexican food in Montreal, but this place really exceeded my expectations. Even without a reservation, they were kind enough to accommodate us. Our waitress, Jessica, was fantastic - she welcomed us with Mexican bread & recommended café de la olla to start. The food is amazing! Menu changes now & then, but everything I have tried has been delicious. Chilaquiles are my personal favorite. All drinks & cocktails are delicious. Decided on this Latin flavour based brunch place to treat our family for birthdays. Did not disappoint. Being a group of 6 we sampled a lot of the menus. Everything served was absolutely beautiful, familiar flavours of our vacations throughout Mexico but elevated. Highly recommend for a group as there are just so many options. Sweet, savoury, tangy. We sat at the bar since we did not have a reservation & loved chatting with Ana while she made drinks & shared her favorites for us to try. The duck entrees were fantastic, nice & juicy, cooked perfectly. Their version of espresso martini is the best I've ever had!! Very smooth & well balanced. We had a great time at Piel Canelle. It was our first time on the terrasse. The food was excellent. The pancakes to die for. The drinks not only looked refreshing but were little works of art. Nice new little corner in Montreal for brunch. The meal was very good & very well seasoned. No complaints about the service either. I would simply not recommend for anyone who needs food substitution. The waitress help us find a meal my friend could eat (she can't eat pork & is pregnant) since some of the things she wanted to eat could not be cooked a different way or changed. It's fine & it's their policy & the waitress helped us find something else on the menu & my friend food was very good, good recommendation 👍🏻. This is just an FYI for people who need substitute or change their order or asked to have their eggs cook a different way. It's good to know. Aside from the the drinks & latte were very good. Such. An. Amazing. Place! This brunch restaurant opened just three months ago, & they serve brunches marrying Latino & Québécois cuisine, & the food is just so good! Their drinks' & food presentations are A1, makes you want to try all of them! & not only does the presentation not disappoint, the taste is... chef's kiss! It's a bit hard to spot this place as the street sign is still the previous restaurant's sign, you have to look on the door to know it's this restaurant - or just go by the address number!
