The noodle was perfect, the spring rolls was so fresh & flavorful. Just the a little bit lack of service. Even they have a lot of waiter but they dont fill our water. We have to ask everytime when our water is empty.
But the rest was perfect!
Great friendly service.
Food is so-so.
Not really that authentic.
Spring rolls not authentic Vietnamese spring rolls. Fish sauce doesn't have much taste for some reason.
I went with a group of friends & settled with this place because they could accommodate a group of 12. The atmosphere was very pleasant & they had a cosy decor.
Unfortunately, the pho was very bland. The soup felt like it was diluted & was lukewarm. The noodles were in a clump & were overcooked. The meat was chewy & sparingly given. Overall, it's probably the worst pho I've ever had. Most of my friends also agreed the pho was bland compared to other small pho businesses. At least, the spring rolls were delicious. I really hope they improve their pho recipe...
I ordered a lunch special menu. It's a pho with 2 imperial rolls.
You can choose up to 3 kind of meat for the pho.
I chose well done, beef ball & tendon.
The well done beef was tender & delicious, but beef balls & tendon were not my taste.
I liked imperial rolls.
Super yummy! Had the beef & shrimp spring rolls & a Bun bo hue (spicy beef soup). Felt like the food was made with love ❤? Nice spot to go eat when in downtown! P
Nice Vietnamese restaurant at Phillips Square in Montreal. Had a 7 hour stopover & took the bus to the center for nice lunch & I was not disappointed. Took waiters to recognize me (I sneaked to the outdoor patio), but then they were really fast & attentive. Food came fast, had summer rolls & vermicelli, both great as well as the Vietnamese coffee afterwards.
A decent place for their appetizers, however the pho could've been better. In all honesty, I find it pretty tricky to find a great pho spot in Montreal (compared to Toronto) - so if I were to compare them to the rest of the city, they are good. The fresh spring rolls & bbq apps are great - worth it. The pho, nothing to die for, the broth could use more flavour. If you're in the area & craving some Pho, not a bad place.
Ordered the vegan pho along with chicken fried rice & spring rolls. While the spring rolls & fried rice tasted good, the vegan pho could have been more flavoured. It was simple with not much seasoning. It was a winter evening so anything hot tasted great but there could have been more spicy / tangy flavours added. Maybe do a simple pho & one spicier version. Great ambience though & very close to grand central so we legit walked in -15 degrees. Love that cherry blossom tree!
Went here on our last night in Montreal & one of best meals we had. Food was very fresh. Had both types of rolls for apps, the jasmine rice with steak & a pho bowl (broth on side) devoured it all. Also had the hot coffee & we're hooked. So tasty. If I lived here, I'd be a regular. Service a bit slow but they were very friendly & we kinda wanted to relax. Atmosphere of the restaurant was super cozy too & clean.
my pork rice paper roll was tiny compared to pictures on here. they also switched my order with prawns without telling me. they were nice enough about switching the incorrect order but they should just not serve the item if they dont have pork available. owner also stared at me the entire time i was getting my order switched. weird it wasn't available as well as i ordered pretty early in the day (3pm). my banh mi broth was too salty & oily as well. very average Vietnamese food.
