Crisp bean sprouts, fragrant basil, and sharp chili condiments accompany each bowl to balance the savory depth of the seasoned stocks. Every serving emphasizes the harmony between delicate herbs and hearty proteins characteristic of this specific regional cooking style. This establishment provides a dedicated focus on essential Vietnamese staples served in an efficient, focused environment for all visitors.

Review Summary

Pho Ly Quoc Su offers a polarizing experience where many diners praise the authentic, flavorful broth and generous portions, highlighting the restaurant as a standout location for high-quality Vietnamese cuisine in downtown Montreal. While many guests enjoy the warm, inviting decor and the professional, friendly service provided by staff, others express disappointment, noting inconsistencies in the depth of the soup's flavor, occasional service lapses, and concerns regarding price points. Despite mixed feedback on authenticity and seasoning, the restaurant remains a popular choice for its cozy atmosphere, varied menu, and pleasant outdoor patio, drawing both locals and tourists looking for a reliable meal in the city center.

The noodle was perfect, the spring rolls was so fresh & flavorful. Just the a little bit lack of service. Even they have a lot of waiter but they dont fill our water. We have to ask everytime when our water is empty.

But the rest was perfect!

Great friendly service.
Food is so-so.
Not really that authentic.
Spring rolls not authentic Vietnamese spring rolls. Fish sauce doesn't have much taste for some reason.

I went with a group of friends & settled with this place because they could accommodate a group of 12. The atmosphere was very pleasant & they had a cosy decor.

Unfortunately, the pho was very bland. The soup felt like it was diluted & was lukewarm. The noodles were in a clump & were overcooked. The meat was chewy & sparingly given. Overall, it's probably the worst pho I've ever had. Most of my friends also agreed the pho was bland compared to other small pho businesses. At least, the spring rolls were delicious. I really hope they improve their pho recipe...

Super yummy! Had the beef & shrimp spring rolls & a Bun bo hue (spicy beef soup). Felt like the food was made with love ❤? Nice spot to go eat when in downtown! P

A decent place for their appetizers, however the pho could've been better. In all honesty, I find it pretty tricky to find a great pho spot in Montreal (compared to Toronto) - so if I were to compare them to the rest of the city, they are good. The fresh spring rolls & bbq apps are great - worth it. The pho, nothing to die for, the broth could use more flavour. If you're in the area & craving some Pho, not a bad place.

Ordered the vegan pho along with chicken fried rice & spring rolls. While the spring rolls & fried rice tasted good, the vegan pho could have been more flavoured. It was simple with not much seasoning. It was a winter evening so anything hot tasted great but there could have been more spicy / tangy flavours added. Maybe do a simple pho & one spicier version. Great ambience though & very close to grand central so we legit walked in -15 degrees. Love that cherry blossom tree!

We just had their pho & it was really good the broth was clear but flavorful & the beef was tender the noodles were cooked well & the fresh herbs added a nice touch we also had their fresh spring rolls which were light & tasty we tried the mango smoothie (100% you must try) & you can actually taste the real mango it wasn't too sweet just refreshing overall a solid meal & we'd come back again

Ordered bun bo, it was not flavorful, despite having quite a bit of meat (mix of pork & beef). Service was very good. Spring rolls were good as well.

The food was average at best, large portions but the quality was average. The Pho was huge but lacked flavor & the chicken cuts weren't the best, chewy. The tofu wasn't great either & again lacked flavor. The spring rolls were decent & had some flavor. The service was great & the ambience was fantastic.
