This was my second visit to Phillips Bar, & once again, I was absolutely blown away! Every dish was incredible. Special shout-outs to the slip cod & the perfectly cooked steak, as well as the chicken skin with truffle sauce appetizer - you can really tell the chef is a master of his craft. The way flavors & textures are combined makes every bite a memorable culinary experience.
I came with a friend who was trying certain dishes for the first time - it was a bit out of his comfort zone, but he loved nearly everything! We are already looking forward to our next visit.
Huge thanks to the entire team for creating such an exceptional evening. Truly a dining experience not to be missed!

Absolutely loved this restaurant! The food was so tasty & im someone who's super picky so I was afraid that i might not like some of the food but i really wanted to try so i did & it was amazing, there are so many flavors in the food & their soya sauce is really great. The music is really fun & unique. My favorite was the onigiri tempura! I had never tasted anything like it before! I also like the chicken skin & potato truffle whip, i liked the fluffiness of the whip. I went with my family & they all loved the food, the sushi & the handrolls!

The food, vibes, & service at Phillips Bar were amazing. We came as a group of four & had such a great time. Cocktails arrived quickly, followed by a steady flow of food. One of the highlights was the crispy chicken skin with truffle mashed potato dip-absolutely delicious. I'd recommend choosing one or two items from each section of the menu. It was so fun having the table filled with different dishes & being able to mix & match flavors. After enjoying all the small plates, it was great to finish with the Teishoku-the hot service. We were lucky enough to try the snow crab on its last day of the season, & if it ever returns to the menu, it's a must-order.

Dope new Japanese spot near Square Phillips ! Cute decor, service was exceptional from start to finish & a lot of great options on the menu. Although I love sushi, I really appreciated the variety of mains! In other words, I did not leave hungry lol. We had the following:

Chicken skin (WHOA!)

Mango Salad 🤌🏾❤??🔥

Beef Tartare & the Tuna Tartare! Both very good but I love how they did this beef tartare! Different than the classic way.

Spicy Tuna Maki! & I think two other hand rolls! All very fresh! Our table also had the short ribs, baby back ribs, steak & the chicken mains! But truthfully my favorite was the steak & baby back ribs! All were good but those were top tier! Like I said I didn't leave hungry & everything was delicious. Sizes are also great for the price allowing you to share with the table depending on the size of your table of course!

In addition to all that food I had the Wasabilicious & Spicy Marg. I think the Wasabi one was a bit sweet for me surprisingly, but the classic spicy marg definitely did the trick! Just overall a great first experience. Also the manager, very attentive. She made sure to thoroughly explain how service works, gave us a few great suggestions, recommended a great bottle of sake & checked in with us, every so often throughout the evening. Been a while since I wrote a review with such enthusiasm! I usually add pics to my review but was way too excited. I will definitely be back.
