The fried beef & onion dumplings were really tasty, crispy on the outside & juicy inside. Portions were decent & nicely presented. Service was friendly & efficient. I'd definitely come back for the dumplings !
Excellent kimchi & handmade dumplings! Such a beautiful place. We are going to be repeat customers ☺?
I came specifically to try the xiao long bao & ordered pork with cabbage & shrimp. The pork & cabbage was classic, with a slightly sweet broth that wasn't greasy. The shrimp version had whole pieces of shrimp, fresh & tender. Overall, the meal was easy to enjoy without feeling heavy.
I ordered chicken with mushroom xiao long bao & vegetarian three fresh pan-fried dumplings. The chicken filling was tender, paired with a subtle umami from the mushrooms. The vegetarian dumplings had a golden, crispy bottom, & the vegetable filling was light & refreshing-great for a lighter meal.
The pan-fried dumplings were consistently good. This time I had the beef with onion & chicken with mushroom. The bottoms were evenly crisped without any burnt taste, & the filling still had some soup. The beef was chewier, while the chicken was more tender. Dipping them in vinegar enhanced the flavor.
I absolutely recommend this hidden gem to anyone looking for a cozy spot in the city! If you are a fan of authentic Shanghainese dim sum, the sweet meat xiao long bao here is a total game-changer. Each dumpling is expertly pleated with a thin, delicate skin that holds a surprising amount of rich, savory, & incredibly juicy soup inside. One bite, & you get that perfect explosion of flavor that defines a top-tier soup dumpling. Beyond the food, the interior decoration is truly one-of-a-kind. It's not your typical cookie-cutter restaurant; it has a distinctive character & a creative flair that makes the entire dining experience feel special. The lighting is warm & the layout creates an incredibly comfortable atmosphere, making it the perfect spot to unwind after a long day. Whether you're a local or just passing through, this small shop offers a level of quality & coziness that is hard to find elsewhere. I've been thinking about that broth ever since I left, & I'll definitely be coming back for my dumpling fix very soon!
Their old pan fried dumpling recipe was better in my opinion. Still a lovely place for a good chat with friends over some juicy fresh dumplings
Yum yum! Small place (let's call it cozy) but well worth the wait. Sometimes shared tables- make a friend! Food was super good. Being Chinese, we have high standards. This fit into the good category. I would return for comfort food in Montréal again.
Such a great spot! The flavors were authentic, & the portions were generous. The staff were attentive, which made the whole meal even more enjoyable !
J'y suis allé avec mes filles, pour ma part la soupe won ton j'ai vraiment adoré, les dumpling sont bon mais pas plus ! & fallait payer pour l'huile pimenté !
Family's new favorite dumpling restaurant. Delicious cucumber salad! Homemade sauces, lamb & coriander fillings, a few gluten free options.
Très bonne adresse. Personnel agréable, service rapide & délicieux ! Je trouve qu'il y a un bon rapport qualité-prix.
I visited this Chinese restaurant & ordered the combo of fried dumplings with pork, shrimp, & scallops. It turned out to be really good. The flavors were rich & everything tasted freshly made. I finished the whole plate without hesitation !
Excellent!!!
Truely wonderful comfort food in a cosy place. Takes you to Hong Kong or Chongqin without leaving the city. Splendid!
Really awesome fried & soup dumplings as well as starters, including the cucumber salad & cold noodle dishes. The service was very good & I could sit for hours watching those ladies up front churning out batches of freshly made dumplings!
