The unique interior design makes you feel as though you've stepped into a boutique art gallery or a curated creative studio rather than a standard eatery. It's cozy, intimate, & filled with visual interest at every turn. As for the food, the xiao long bao were incredibly juicy-you have to be careful with that first bite to catch all the broth! The fried dumplings were equally impressive, boasting a perfect'lace' crust that was wonderfully crispy & savory. It's rare to find a place that offers such a high level of artistic design alongside such high-quality, authentic comfort food. It's the perfect spot for a solo lunch where you can browse on your phone or a quiet dinner where you can really appreciate the craftsmanship of your meal. For anyone who appreciates the finer details in both art & cooking, this little shop is a mandatory stop on your food tour.
If you are looking for a place with creative decor & a relaxing, comfortable vibe, look no further. This restaurant has such a cool, artistic energy that makes it an ideal spot for catching up with friends or having a casual dinner date. It doesn't feel rushed or loud; instead, the atmosphere invites you to linger & enjoy the unique surroundings. The menu is focused & executed brilliantly, specializing in the kind of comfort food that warms the soul. We shared several plates of dumplings, & each was better than the last. It's the kind of place where the environment actually enhances the taste of the food because you feel so at ease. I really appreciate how the owners have created a space that is as much about the social experience & artistic atmosphere as it is about the delicious Chinese snacks. It's a solid choice for a weekend hang or a midweek treat. A wonderful, cozy environment paired with top-notch dumplings makes this a five-star experience all around.
I absolutely recommend this hidden gem to anyone looking for a cozy spot in the city! If you are a fan of authentic Shanghainese dim sum, the sweet meat xiao long bao here is a total game-changer. Each dumpling is expertly pleated with a thin, delicate skin that holds a surprising amount of rich, savory, & incredibly juicy soup inside. One bite, & you get that perfect explosion of flavor that defines a top-tier soup dumpling. Beyond the food, the interior decoration is truly one-of-a-kind. It's not your typical cookie-cutter restaurant; it has a distinctive character & a creative flair that makes the entire dining experience feel special. The lighting is warm & the layout creates an incredibly comfortable atmosphere, making it the perfect spot to unwind after a long day. Whether you're a local or just passing through, this small shop offers a level of quality & coziness that is hard to find elsewhere. I've been thinking about that broth ever since I left, & I'll definitely be coming back for my dumpling fix very soon
Cozy restaurant with a welcoming atmosphere!
The fried beef & onion dumplings were really tasty, crispy on the outside & juicy inside. Portions were decent & nicely presented. Service was friendly & efficient. I'd definitely come back for the dumplings !
Tasty vegan dumplings! No vegan soup dumpling options but I expected that; the vegan option is a regular dumpling (steamed or fried) with cabbage, tofu & mushroom. It is on a blander side which is why I gave it 4 stars. But a good veggie option if you're in the mood for dumplings & are in the area.
Inside is small & cozy but super welcoming at the same time. Staff are quick & lovely.
Yum yum! Small place (let's call it cozy) but well worth the wait. Sometimes shared tables- make a friend! Food was super good. Being Chinese, we have high standards. This fit into the good category. I would return for comfort food in Montréal again.
Cute & cozy Chinese eatery serving authentic fried dumplings, soup dumplings, & other traditional dishes. Yum!
Nice cozy restaurant. Service was great & food was amazing!! While waiting to be seated the smells so delicious. Pro tip Dumplings take time to prepare, so I'd recommend ordering an appetizer before that.
Really enjoyed this Chinese restaurant! I ordered the shrimp & coriander frozen dumplings, & they were surprisingly delicious-fresh-tasting, well-seasoned, & cooked perfectly. The flavors were bright, & the dumplings had a great bite. Friendly service & a simple, cozy vibe. Definitely worth trying if you love good dumplings !
Great food! I highly recommend the sweet pork dumplings!! The ambiance & service was amazing as well! It's a very cozy spot!
