This is officially my new xiao long bao sanctuary in Montreal! Finding authentic, handcrafted dumplings can be a challenge, but this place nails the traditional flavors perfectly. Both the soup dumplings & the pan-fried ones taste just like what you'd find in a high-end shop in Asia-perfectly balanced, fresh, & incredibly juicy. The decor style is particularly impressive, successfully merging traditional Chinese elements with a sleek, modern aesthetic that feels very high-end. It has a certain'class' or'??' (style) without being pretentious. It's the kind of place that feels high-energy yet intimate at the same time. Whether you are a connoisseur of Chinese cuisine or a newcomer to the world of dim sum, the authenticity of the food combined with the stylish atmosphere makes this a top-tier destination. It's rare to find a place that balances food quality, traditional craftsmanship, & modern interior vibes so perfectly. This has quickly become my go-to recommendation for anyone visiting the city who wants a'real' taste of Chinese small bites

On my very first trip to Montreal, I stumbled upon this absolute treasure of a restaurant, & it was easily the highlight of my culinary journey here. We decided to try the pork & chive xiao long bao along with the beef & onion fried dumplings, & both were spectacular. The dumplings were incredibly fresh, & the beef filling in the fried version was seasoned to perfection-juicy on the inside with a satisfying, golden crunch on the outside. What really sets this place apart, though, is the unique decor. Every corner of the restaurant has been thoughtfully designed with a blend of artistic flair & cultural nods, making the entire space feel very'Instagrammable.' If you enjoy taking photos of your dining aesthetic or just appreciate a beautiful environment, you will love it here. To top it off, the service was exceptionally warm, enthusiastic, & welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. It's a must-visit spot for anyone looking for great vibes & even better food in Montreal

This shop might be small in size, but it is absolutely massive in character! The unique interior design makes you feel as though you've stepped into a boutique art gallery or a curated creative studio rather than a standard eatery. It's cozy, intimate, & filled with visual interest at every turn. As for the food, the xiao long bao were incredibly juicy-you have to be careful with that first bite to catch all the broth! The fried dumplings were equally impressive, boasting a perfect'lace' crust that was wonderfully crispy & savory. It's rare to find a place that offers such a high level of artistic design alongside such high-quality, authentic comfort food. It's the perfect spot for a solo lunch where you can browse on your phone or a quiet dinner where you can really appreciate the craftsmanship of your meal. For anyone who appreciates the finer details in both art & cooking, this little shop is a mandatory stop on your food tour.

The first thing that hits you when you walk into this restaurant is the striking & creative decor. It's visually stunning & has a real'wow' factor; every corner feels like it was handled by a professional designer with a keen eye for detail. It creates a modern, chic, & bright vibe that elevates the entire meal from a simple lunch to a full sensory experience. The food more than lives up to the beautiful surroundings. The xiao long bao were overflowing with rich, aromatic broth, & the fried dumplings were pan-seared to a perfect golden brown-crispy, savory, & completely addictive. I'd highly recommend this spot to anyone who appreciates traditional Chinese snacks served in a contemporary, stylish setting. It's a fantastic addition to the local food scene & a great place to introduce friends to the wonders of well-made dumplings. Whether you are there for the design or the dough, you are guaranteed to leave satisfied. It is a true standout in the neighborhood.

I absolutely recommend this hidden gem to anyone looking for a cozy spot in the city! If you are a fan of authentic Shanghainese dim sum, the sweet meat xiao long bao here is a total game-changer. Each dumpling is expertly pleated with a thin, delicate skin that holds a surprising amount of rich, savory, & incredibly juicy soup inside. One bite, & you get that perfect explosion of flavor that defines a top-tier soup dumpling. Beyond the food, the interior decoration is truly one-of-a-kind. It's not your typical cookie-cutter restaurant; it has a distinctive character & a creative flair that makes the entire dining experience feel special. The lighting is warm & the layout creates an incredibly comfortable atmosphere, making it the perfect spot to unwind after a long day. Whether you're a local or just passing through, this small shop offers a level of quality & coziness that is hard to find elsewhere. I've been thinking about that broth ever since I left, & I'll definitely be coming back for my dumpling fix very soon

Happened to stumble in here kind of by accident & I'm so glad I did because this was my best meal in mtl! The pork + chive xiao long bao were the best i've ever had. So flavourful & fresh! You see them being made in the front so you know it's gonna be good! also loved the peanut noodles! Would also want to try the peanut butter dumplings for sure! 10/10 no notes!

The xiao long bao & fried dumplings here are simply out of this world! You can really taste the handcrafted excellence in every single bite-the textures are perfect, & the seasonings are spot on. It's clear that the kitchen takes great pride in their work & uses high-quality ingredients. The restaurant itself is a masterclass in interior design, with every corner packed with thoughtful details that show just how much heart went into creating this space. It feels sophisticated yet approachable, like eating in a high-end boutique. We visited during the weekend peak hours & had to wait about 20 minutes for a table, but let me tell you, it was worth every single second. The staff managed the crowd efficiently, & once we were seated, the food arrived hot & fresh. If you're planning a weekend visit, I'd suggest coming a bit early to beat the rush, but even if there's a queue, hold your spot-you won't regret it! This is easily some of the best Chinese comfort food I've had in a long time.

I was craving dumplings & it was not bad at all. They make fresh dumplings on right side as soon you walk in which is pretty cool. Beef Xiao dumplings highly recommend for sure.
Also one thing that caught me off the guard was the green tea... just a tea bag was kinda slap in the face. I thought I was going to try a real tea from their culture...

I came specifically to try the xiao long bao & ordered pork with cabbage & shrimp. The pork & cabbage was classic, with a slightly sweet broth that wasn't greasy. The shrimp version had whole pieces of shrimp, fresh & tender. Overall, the meal was easy to enjoy without feeling heavy.
