Chinese comfort food done right. Great food & service, great owners. I pick up the General Tao combo every week after my son's violin class in NDG. Are my arteries hardening? Yes. But is it worth it? Also yes. Keep up the great work.

Just follow the ordering procedure & you will be fine. All right. Let's go over that again. As you walk in the place move immediately to your right. The main thing is to keep the line moving. All right. So, you hold out your money, speak your order in a loud, clear voice, step to the left & wait to receive. It's very important not to embellish on your order. No extraneous comments. No questions. No compliments. Best chinese food in the neighbourhood!

Once a really good Chinese restaurant on the level of the old Yangtze restaurant on Van Horn. But they closed & Pékin Garden moved to the east side of queen Mary road & since that they just don't seem to have that same quality. It's a decent place to eat but it's not a place you have a nice dinner out meal with family or a date. Very dated old interior & menues should be replaced. For a quick lunch under $15 for one with soup & a small portion of rice, the main protein & what not is decent & quick but it hits the spot to full the belly. Value: lunch time maybe not dinner time. Service: reasonable but nothing to applause. Parking is tough. Selection: typical old style Chinese Canadian selection. Pineapple chicken filled with way too much breading - like no chicken practically. Soup broth poor & lacks flavour as do wontons. Beef too chewy. General Tao too sugary & too much breading. Egg rolls cheap & tasteless. Quality & freshness: well......

Sure doesn't sound like anything worth experiencing nor paying for!!! Makes one wonder if ANYWHERE ELSE is not a better choice! What passes for beef I would hate to imagine its origins, and how many cases of food poisoning have been experienced.

i called in to order from the menu, manager was too busy to clarify the items because the menu has changed. Told me that if i wanted to order take out to come in. i ordered a few times & food is subpar. unfortunately only chinese food restaurant in my area.

Shouldn't this let you know they don't deserve nor respect customers and that you help this rot stay in business with your money??? And with garbage food too. I'm in your area and almost every Chinese place in NDG, Cote Des Neiges, Ville St Laurent, and even downtown delivers to me!!!
