Review Summary

Reviews describe Pâtisserie Coco as a busy Chinatown staple with a wide, fresh selection of pastries, buns, and sweet treats at affordable prices. Dishes like cheese bread, coconut custard pastries, mango mochi, and pork buns are repeatedly praised for quality and flavor, with items often noted as well presented and reasonably priced. The self service setup with trays and tongs helps crowds move quickly, though the shop can get very busy and a few comments mention variable service. Overall, the variety, freshness, and value receive strong praise, with notes that bubble tea or taro milk tea can be a touch sweet and seating is limited, but it remains a top Chinatown Montreal pick.

We were walking around Montreal's Chinatown when we spotted this awesome bakery, Patisserie Coco. It's definitely a haven for cake & pastry lovers! This bakery sells so many different kinds of delicious pastries & desserts too. They have breads, buns, puffs, cookies, biscuits, Swiss rolls, fruit cakes, steam cakes, muffins, flaky puff balls, green tea mochis, sponge cakes & many others. As for desserts, there's different varieties of cheesecakes, mousse, bubble tea, smoothies, milk tea & etc. We bought some bubble milk tea, coffee buns & cookies. They tasted absolutely fresh & delicious!

*Update: We were visiting Montreal & decided to stop by Pâtisserie Coco, our favourite bakery in Chinatown! We got the Egg Tarts, Coconut Twist, Cookies, Cake Roll, Nutella Twist, Brioche Buns, Preserved Egg Puff, Almond Strawberry Tarts, Tiramisu & numerous Bubble Teas (Brown Sugar, Taro Milk Tea, Matcha Brown Sugar, Peach Oolong Tea, Mango Green Tea etc). Everything tasted absolutely delicious!

CoCo Bakery (Chinatown)
This place is chock-full of Asian baked delights. If you think there's only one way to do a coconut bun, think again - they've got every kind imaginable here. Fillings range from fruit to whipped cream, custard, & who knows what else - all fresh & tempting. You grab a tray, pick your favourites, & bring them to the till where they package everything up neatly. Prices are extremely fair for what you get. A must-stop in Chinatown - awesome spot.
