Oh my goodness, I have just discovered Afroditi's existence today. It is a hidden gem in the heart of Parc Ex.
Best greek bakery that I have tried so far. I felt in love with the inside decor & ambiance.
Friendly & nice employees, I got a very quick service.
Melomakarona so delishhh! & Almond Cake, will definitely come see you guys soon
This pastry & bakery shop offers a chic ambiance while reflecting its Greek heritage. Upon entering, customers are greeted by the aroma of freshly baked goods & a well-organized space stocked with a wide selection of Greek specialties. The atmosphere is inviting & has a homelike charm. There may be a short wait during busy hours, but staff members provide friendly & attentive service☺?. Maria & Artemis definitely know how to leave a good first impression❤?. Maria was very helpful & patient, she guided me through the variety of pastries available. The ones I chose were well balanced in flavor with a reasonable dose of sugar! Their strawberry shortcake & cheesecake are a must try, trust me! They were both exceptionally delicious🥰. Overall, it is a gem worth to stop by & try their many dessert options.
This bakery is an absolute must-visit! It's one of my all-time favorite Greek bakeries-everything is consistently fresh, flavorful, & crafted with care. You can truly taste the quality in every bite.
My only suggestion would be to consider adding Frappe to the menu-it would be the perfect complement to your offerings & make this spot a true one-stop shop for satisfying any sweet craving. 😊
Brought here by the whim of a God. To search for the perfect gift one would bring to family. She of course led me to where I would recognize her keen directions. In Name. My search for great delights & treats now over. Beyond any expectation, I had none save for her desire for perfect love of flavour. Patisserie Afroditi found it's way keenly into my heart. Cemented in my memory. Namely with the calming nature of it's heavenly inspired atmosphere. Lighter & more Angelic than church but just as soulful & up lifting. Taken in by the entrance, I was quickly swept down the vast spread of delights overwhelmed until helped by a dark haired sharp eyed beauty. I didn't ask her name (Feeling ashamed she judged my St-Viateur hat. Clearly I was no local) but felt her eyes sparkle as did once between Helen & Paris Alexander. To navigate the perfect choices (Anything Almond & please do have the spanakopita). I know when I am in the presence of a Goddess & take your signs as providence to live with love & courage... & eat an extra treat from this place! or send me to Hades to visit old friends. How do you say thank you in Greek? ef-kha-ri-sto
This store is a Montreal treasure. Anyone that has the chance to go there & to eat any of their goods will have an out of body experience. Just entering the shop takes your nose by surprise as you are met with the greatest & most comforting sweet smell. Then the employees present will make you feel at home with their welcoming attitude & aura. The wide variety of baked goods you can pick from is impressive & really encourages to try everything out. They have smaller pre-made boxes of cookies that are great to give as gifts. It's a great way to get people to learn more about Greek desserts. I love that place. I've been going for years & I still haven't tried everything! I recommend it to literally anyone that likes to eat. The owners have been doing a great job with keeping up with current trends while maintaining their original recipes & that makes for a greatly developped menu. You'll never have a cookie that tastes differently than the last time you had it. They are consistantly delivering GREATNESS. They deserve all the praise. Try one of their little breads & thank me later.
*edit....the customer service is really bad here, it just gets worse. Some people are ok but most of the ladies behind the counter couldn't care less about their customers only see $$$ signs walking through the door. I was asking for some help for a big event & she didn't even care or give me a straight answer when I asked to purchase a piece of the cake I was inquiring about. Myself & my family have spent thousands of dollars here for most of our family events & milestones & everyday items. It's so disappointing to see this place going downhill like this. I left the bakery empty handed & frustrated. I've overlooked the food poisoning I've got from here & the fillers they put in their savory pastries but enough is enough, there are so many other great bakeries to chose from, I suggest going elsewhere for the same baked goods with better value & customer service & appreciation. *this is more recent...I have been there several more times now & they've been really nice. Everything was tasty. They charge high prices but that's ok if it's good not when the little cakes you bring to a guest's house are stale. How dare they! This has happened on more than one occasion unfortunately... Also, when a customer comes in the bakery they could at least acknowledge them or greet them. They completely ignore you if they are a little busy. It's too bad because when they care & pay attention they have really tasty savory pastries, Greek baked goods & great cakes....I guess it has to be your lucky day.
