Service & food here is great! A real hidden gem with the charm of your favourite dive bar. Warm, welcoming & the food is lovely with requests kindly accommodated.
It's a tiny Montreal gem serving up legendary poutine & comfort food with unbeatable charm. Will love to go here over & over again.
The best poutine I ever had, like, really special. Everything else looked good too.
Lovely spot with great poutine & service! The fries were crispy & dark - memories of chip trucks in my past! Beer was very good as well. Affordable & we're happy that we stumbled upon it!
Finally tried Patati Patata after all these years on a busy Friday evening. It's next door to Bar Big in Japan. We lucked out & were able to grab seats at the counter. The inside is small with 12 seats. Workers were friendly & refilled waters.
- Blonde ($7.00 pint)
- Poutine classique ($11.00) - shareable between two. Decent but needed more gravy
- Filets de sole panés ($15.00) - fish was tender. Fries were serviceable, salad was bland
- Burger boeuf ($5.00) - bacon ($1.00) & cheese ($1.00). Basically a slider. Beef was salty
Patati Patata: Situated gracefully at the nexus of Boul. St-Laurent & Rue Rachel, Patati Patata emerges as a luminous star within the constellation of local fast-food takeouts.
This haven of flavor offers a convenient location that effortlessly pairs with the accessibility of easy-to-find parking in the vicinity. The fusion of a convenient locale & hassle-free parking lays a foundation for a delicious experience.
While modest in size, Patati Patata embraces its petite charm, serving as a haven for those seeking a quick bite to savor on the go. The cozy interior, hosting a handful of seats, accommodates the essence of camaraderie that permeates this eatery. Despite the limited seating, the establishment gracefully juggles the bustling traffic of patrons with the presence of two capable employees.
A bilingual & warmly affable staff further elevates the experience, crafting an environment where every interaction leaves a mark of welcome & comfort. The menu, surprisingly extensive for its petite frame, is a culinary symphony that caters to various cravings & moments throughout the day, extending from hearty breakfasts to satisfying post-evening-out meals.
On the occasion of my visit, I indulged in their beef burgers. Topped generously with cheese & accompanied by golden fries, each item came at a remarkable price of $4.50. The toppings, a vibrant medley of freshness, contributed to a burst of flavors that danced harmoniously on the palate.
In the realm of culinary experiences, appearances can often be deceiving, & Patati Patata masterfully defies any preconceived notions. While the images of the fare may appear unassuming, the reality is far from it. This establishment crafts a burger experience that stands as a testament to value & quality, deserving of every ounce of praise. In Montreal's vibrant food scene, Patati Patata undoubtedly claims its crown as the reigning champion of the best burger for the price.
Regrettably, a minor challenge stands at the threshold of inclusivity, with a lack of ramp & a small step of about six inches at the entrance. Despite this, Patati Patata remains a beacon of culinary excellence, deserving of an unreserved five-star accolade.
Parfait, ça n'a pas changé en 10ans! 🤙😁
Stopped by Patati Patata on a late-night whim, & honestly, we didn't know if we were about to have a life-changing snack or a soggy disappointment. The guy at the counter? Absolute legend. Chill, helpful, & somehow managed to explain the menu without making us feel like clueless tourists-bonus points for doing it fast enough that we could still get our kid back to bed on time.
Then we tried the poutine. My wife went classic, I went bacon. Even after the short trip back to the hotel, when they'd cooled down a bit, they were still incredible-we can only imagine how mind-blowing they must be fresh at the restaurant. The bacon leans salty (hello, flavor explosion), & the classic could use a pinch more salt… unless you're a purist, in which case it's perfect.
Pro tip: If you've been hypnotized by La Banquise hype online, break free & come here first. You'll thank us when you taste real Montreal poutine without the influencer line-up.
