To Patati Patata, we love you.
Cheese curds: perfect, squeaky, & bountiful
Fries: perfect cut, & seasoned with care
Gravy: perfect
This place is severely underrated. It honestly was the best poutine we've ever had.
Went around 1pm & there was space to dine in. It was delicious the cheese curds were perfectly squeaky & the fries were very crunchy.
Great Poutine. I swear they have the best cheese curds in the city by fa
The fries are definitely de Luxe! Thin hand cut goodness. Squeaky curds. Thin gravy with plenty of umami.
Pairs great with the Boréale IPA. Love my view from the window with the cross breeze on a hot summer's day. If you haven't been, you've got to give it a try.
Service was quick & top notch.
Tried the classic poutine as this is one of the best places to get it. Loved the decor in the place which gives it real character.
As for the poutine, it s basically chips & gravy with cheese curds. Definately food after a few beers rather than a romantic table for two. I think there is no way you can get this wrong. There are other things on the menu but i d already eaten at schwatze s.
Overall defo give it a go.....
Exactly what you want for a late night spot. Right next to Bar Big in Japan, & their poutine will scratch the itch. Generous with their curds topped with a perfectly shiny gravy.
Beautifully intimate, cozy vibe & friendly service! Food was very reasonably priced, french onion soup was on the saltier side but the poutine was delicious - great fries, amazing squeaky curds, delicious sauce. I wouldn't recommend going with more than 2 people, it's a very tight space. Adds to the cozy vibe though.
Genuinely the only poutine I've ever truly enjoyed!!! The cheese curds are soft, the graving isn't overwhelming &, somehow, the fries aren't soggy at all. The staff were super friendly too!
The restaurant is small, so it can get a bit chaotic & loud 😂 I'd recommend taking your poutine to go!
Out of all the places I ate in Montreal, this was my FAVOURITE poutine. Squeaky curds, with perfect ratios of cheese to gravy to fries. The portion was generous, you get so much for what you pay. I was more than satisfied after eating here.
Service was super friendly & nice. I love the old school interior & being able to see the food made right in front of me. This location in particular is a MUST for poutine.
