Review Summary

Pastel Rita is described as a bright, welcoming cafe with a spacious, colorful interior and a lively vibe that makes it a popular neighborhood spot. The food features a highly praised grilled cheese or croque monsieur with rich béchamel and quality fillings, and breakfast options that help start the day on a satisfying note, while beverages like matcha lattes and refreshing limonades are also frequently liked, though there are occasional disappointments such as a chai latte without tea or a drink missing vanilla syrup. Service is often noted as friendly and fast, but some reviews mention slower takeout, busy crowds, or loud music that can detract from the experience. Ambiance and decor are generally praised, with comments on a cute, sunny, and colorful space, though a few notes point to maintenance issues like a lack of shades and a strong odor in one bathroom. Overall, Pastel Rita comes across as a popular, comfortable cafe with tasty options and a welcoming staff, where most guests say they would return.

Very cute little spot. I stopped here on a hot sunny day while on an epic walk around the city, needing something cold to drink as a refreshment. I ordered an absolutely delicious fizzy berry thing in a can, which the bar staff served to me on the rocks in a lovely little tumbler. Enjoyed the vibe, the music & the sunshine.

Minus one star only because the ceiling fans were going at full speed but there were no blinds or shades on any of the untinted windows, so basically everyone was melting in there & possibly getting sunburned like little ants under a magnifying glass… no idea if they have AC or not but highly recommend that the owners consider installing shades before summer really gets going.

Crazy about this place - great colours, vibe, food, staff - but two stars bc the bathroom smells like a horrible outhouse. Happy to reevaluate review once they fix this problem!

Went in mid-afternoon for a drink, & got a surprising & refreshing Lime Latte. It was $6 plus taxes & tips. It was worth it for the novelty but that's a statement I feel applies for some of the experiences. Check it out once & it should be interesting. Notably, their sunny delight isn't worth the value. They run out of patisseries rather early but, predictably, their'rice crispies' last longer. Vibes are nice & staff is friendly. Fully bilingual Madonna fans :)
