Palais Maharaja Palace receives strong praise for flavor balance, freshness of ingredients, texture and presentation, with butter chicken, chicken curry, dal makhni, lamb curry, garlic naan and pratha repeatedly highlighted as delicious and well crafted. Many reviews describe meals as creamy, bursting with flavour, melt in your mouth, and beautifully plated, with fresh herbs and careful seasoning delivering a comforting yet refined Indian dining experience. Service and atmosphere are often praised, with friendly, attentive staff and a welcoming, vibrant setting noted by guests. A number of dishes and experiences are singled out as must try, especially the butter chicken and the garlicky naan, while thali options and variety add to the appeal. Nevertheless, some comments point to inconsistencies in quality or preparation, mentioning a butter chicken that tastes overly tomato-soup like, palak paneer that is not fully flavoured or too thick, naan lacking discernable garlic, and delivery notes such as high spice levels or an onion aftertaste in the mango lassi. A few reviews express concern about changes or management and value for money, while many others call it the best Indian spot in town and a place to return to again and again. Overall, Palais Maharaja Palace is seen as a place with standout flavors, generous portions and solid service, though a minority caution about seasoning, consistency and menu accuracy.
Merci
Went here last winter with my family who were visiting. Good service, friendly folks, INCREDIBLE food! We had a few dishes - can't remember which off the top of my head - but the eggplant, paneer, chicken & lamb dishes were cooked to perfection. Great Naan, lovely rice & to this day, my favourite mango lassi I've had in Montreal.
I absolutely loved everything, the girl's service was wonderful & the food!!! Wow, I'm surprised at how delicious it is!!! I love this place, I would come back a thousand times 🤩🤩🥰🥰❤?❤?
Focus on flavour balance, ingredients freshness, texture, presentation & unique aspects like perfectly cooked, bursting with flavour, melt in your mint hor beautifully plated.
I ordered chaat papri, but what I received doesn't even look like North Indian chaat papri.
It was a complete waste of money. Instead of proper chaat, they gave rubbery, non-chewable mutter (peas) in the name of chaat papri, which I am seeing for the first time ever. The taste & texture were extremely poor, & it was not fresh at all.
I would not recommend this dish to anyone. Very disappointed.
