Exquisite cafe: the food, the drinks, the vibes. Will be thinking about the egg sando for a while - it's just so perfectly jammy with the right amount of kick with the side of hot sauce. Matcha also deserves a shoutout: you can tell that it's higher quality matcha. Would definitely come try some of their other sandwiches & drinks again! Also worth noting that you can't order the sandwiches until 11AM.View more

Loved the vibe & atmosphere so much. It felt chill but they also had a dj there. The place is kinda located in a hidden spot with a weird entrance gate however as soon as you walk past the gate, it's so cool. The food & drinks were also good!View more

The tamago sando (egg salad sandwich) looks better than it tastes. The concept of a scotch egg in a sandwich sounds cool but the execution was a bit underwhelming. It does not tasted bad but it's also quite forgettable. The mayo is def not what you typically get in a Japanese style sandwich, tasted quite bland & greasy. I think they still has potential, will prob go again to give the chicken & Katsu sando a try

great food & cool vibes but definitely not a good place to get work done. it's located semi'underground' & has cool steel decor. the sandos are delicious & their matcha lattes are some of the best in the city! It does get quite loud in the cafe & the music is usually pretty loud too. plenty of seating but not enough outlets if you plan on doing work. Would recommend for going for lunch or hanging out!View more

I'd suggest trying the karaage sando, but the tamago sando is quite overrated-it was pretty bland. On the other hand, I really enjoyed the matcha latte. The atmosphere was awesome, with R&B music adding a nice touch to the overall vibe.View more

Came here around 11:30 AM on Friday September 20th. I have tried the Marusan restaurant located inside the Time Out Market at Eaton Centre & really enjoyed the classic Japanese curries. This location offers more variety & doubles a coffee/study shop. The location is easy to access however being downtown there is only paid street parking. The restaurant is sort of underground but has great sky lights, a small terrace & plenty of seating. There are large communal style tables in the middle & smaller tables for 2 on the sides. When we arrived though most spots were taken & filled with students studying or browsing on their laptops. This would not be ideal for families or larger groups. We got the pork katsu curry dish & a chicken sandwicch - both were amazing, very flavorful, decently priced & filling. If you are looking for comfort food, this is the perfect lunch spot. Food is fresh & appears made to order. Service was prompt, overall vibe & ambiance is really cool. This is definitely a unique spot.View more

This place is such a vibe for artistic/creative & hipster people. The decorations, the slight underground/cottage feel tucked away on a somewhat busy street. It's a total vibe. I came on a Thursday afternoon & they had the techno experimental music blasting. I ordered a chai latte with soy & decaf Americano...both were very good. The chai was somewhat local from New York & was well spiced & not so sugary which I like. They have some food options as well like sandwiches & vegan curry. Plenty of seating indoor & outdoor in their terrace & at some picnic tables. 2 hour limit on wifi to keep people from docking. Just such a great, aesthetically pleasing cafe! Only improvement would be for more attentive, patient service.View more

This cafe was super unique & amazing. The atmosphere & vibe were through the roof. I'm from Dallas, tx, & we have nice coffee shops, but nothing quite like this. We missed the place twice because from the outside, it looks almost like an abandoned building. They had a D.J. playing some really chill tunes. The iced coffees were fantastic. We didn't order food because we had just eaten, but the food coming out of the kitchen looked fantastic. We really enjoyed our time here. Highly recommend 👌View more
