Great hangout/study space. Egg sando was bland & the bread texture is just okay (not fun to bite into); would recommend getting the Katsu sando in Chinatown instead. Chai Latte is also lacking flavor but not offensive.View more

Exquisite cafe: the food, the drinks, the vibes. Will be thinking about the egg sando for a while - it's just so perfectly jammy with the right amount of kick with the side of hot sauce. Matcha also deserves a shoutout: you can tell that it's higher quality matcha. Would definitely come try some of their other sandwiches & drinks again! Also worth noting that you can't order the sandwiches until 11AM.View more

The tamago sando (egg salad sandwich) looks better than it tastes. The concept of a scotch egg in a sandwich sounds cool but the execution was a bit underwhelming. It does not tasted bad but it's also quite forgettable. The mayo is def not what you typically get in a Japanese style sandwich, tasted quite bland & greasy. I think they still has potential, will prob go again to give the chicken & Katsu sando a try

I came here for a quick lunch. The place was very busy. You can tell it's a popular place among students. After ordering at the counter, they give you a number to place on the table & they bring your order to you when ready. The café is nice but quite noisy so it's not the ideal place to sit & study. I ordered the famous tamago sando. It was ok, not great. Apart from the egg, the rest of the sandwich was bland. Just too much bread. On the other hand, the chicken sandwich was very tasty.View more

great food & cool vibes but definitely not a good place to get work done. it's located semi'underground' & has cool steel decor. the sandos are delicious & their matcha lattes are some of the best in the city! It does get quite loud in the cafe & the music is usually pretty loud too. plenty of seating but not enough outlets if you plan on doing work. Would recommend for going for lunch or hanging out!View more

J'ai beaucoup aimé l'ambiance & le personnel était sympathique. Malheureusement, ce matin là, il n'y avait que deux type de sando disponibles : le tamago & le rosbif. J'ai pris le rosbif mais sincèrement, j'ai trouvé que la viande froide rendait le tout assez difficile à avaler. Pas une grande fan donc. Went to this cafe based on good reviews from social media. The cafe itself is very aesthetically pleasing, but the food was a disappointment. I ordered two katsu sandos. One was cooked okay, but the other undercooked/cold inside & was the size of a brick. I get food poisoning very easily, so the pork being half raw was particularly upsetting.View more

I'd suggest trying the karaage sando, but the tamago sando is quite overrated-it was pretty bland. On the other hand, I really enjoyed the matcha latte. The atmosphere was awesome, with R&B music adding a nice touch to the overall vibe.View more

The vibe & drinks are definitely great. I got the tamago sando with smoked salmon & unfortunately there were a few bones in the salmon. There are definitely a lot of better food options at the café but the tamago sando is a bit overhyped especially for the price.View more

Lovely space & design, it looks like a modern cafeteria & lots of space to study. Though they do limit your time to just 2 hours on their wifi. Would recommend getting their sandwich & doing some work while drinking a coffee. Got the egg sando sandwich which was nice though some sauce would have really given it more flavor.View more

Will come back again! Ambience 💯 very industrial & edgy, dark & bright at the same time. Dark enough that's laptop friendly 💻 , bright enough that you get sky view from skylights ☀️ Ordered an iced matcha latte 🍵 to start the day fresh, wish it could be bitter but good enough. 4.5/5 I had katsu curry for lunch, the skin is a bit overcooked & feel heavy but the inside meat very juicy & tender. I was hoping more curry in the bowl. & the bowl has a chip at the edge that's actually dangerous for the hands. 4/5 Background music might be a bit loud in the morning, some rock music was playing, I guess they want it to feel more hippy. But it can get even louder when more people come in later in the afternoon. There's outdoor patio to sit but limited seats available. 2hr max wifi connection per user per day. Overall a good place to take a break or having a sprint work/study session. Very friendly staff. Will come back again to try out the sando. Total spending + tip: $27 Overall 5/5View more

I was excited to try the food here since I love Japanese curry, & the sandos looked so tasty in the pictures. I went & tried the katsu curry & the karaage sando. To be fair, the sando was alright. Not the most appetizing cut of the meat, but that may not be a problem for everyone. Now, the curry, however...putting the also unappealing cut of pork aside, the real issue was just how bland the curry was. One of the blandest things I've ever tasted. Absolutely not worth the trip or the money I spent. I've made curry with store-bought curry blocks that tasted way better. Seriously: go to any asian grocery store, buy a box of Glico brand curry blocks, & make your own curry rice at home. It's not that hard to make, & it'll be more flavourful by a mile. Service was good: the staff was polite & friendly. Not much else to say there. As for atmosphere, well, it's loud & not that welcoming. There's an outdoor area that's much quieter, but it's very...I don't know...dingy? It's not landscaped, it's kinda gloomy, the tables are just picnic tables. Though actually all the tables were taken so my friend & I sat at what looked like a defunct bar. Not my scene I guess so giving it a neutral 3-star.View more
