Came here to find out what the hype was about.. we came a bit before they serve the sandwich. But there was a prob that occured, the air fryer was broken so we had to wait almost 40 min to get our sandwiches. Bc I wanted to try it so so bad & we were already there, we waited..
The food came, & honestly the taste was ok. It was not wow but it was a normal sandwhich that u could make at home.. also the karaage was tiny that I had a couple of bite with just bread & no chicken lol. Also the tamago is ok not too tasty..
Also ordered their Hojicha Latte & this was really good!! 10/10 , croissant is ok as well..
It's good to try once but not smt I'd drive 40min to try again 🙂🙂 Staff are very nice tho!!! :))View more
8 really great tamago sandwich with smoked salmon was amazing. Chicken katsu sando would also be great to try. Def come again. Chicken curry was good but hyuga curry is better & sando is a better choice. Tamago with smoked is a great ordeView more
Phenomenal place to sit & enjoy your day. Great ambiance & the food is just legit amazing. Got a coffee & a karate sandwich & both of them were just delicious. I wish I could've tried everything else in their menu. Keep up the good work guysView more
View more
I can't believe we have such a cool place like this in Montreal. The food just blows my mind. I had the egg sandwich, which was perfect. The environment-both outside & inside-is fantastic. For summer, it's just so convenient. The menu isn't huge, but the drinks & food are delicious. I'll definitely be back again!View more
The tamago sando (egg salad sandwich) looks better than it tastes. The concept of a scotch egg in a sandwich sounds cool but the execution was a bit underwhelming. It does not tasted bad but it's also quite forgettable. The mayo is def not what you typically get in a Japanese style sandwich, tasted quite bland & greasy. I think they still has potential, will prob go again to give the chicken & Katsu sando a try
The vibe was cool but def don't expect it to be quietView more
Osmo X Marusan Café-Terrasse is an absolute gem in downtown Montreal! From the moment you step inside this stylish, brutalist-inspired space, you know you're in for something special. The vibe is vibrant yet cozy, with plenty of natural light, lush plants, & a welcoming atmosphere perfect for working, hanging out, or enjoying a meal.
But let's talk food-this café truly shines with some of the best sandwiches in town. Whether it's their famous fried egg sandwich or the inventive pork chop sando, each bite bursts with flavor & creativity. The menu also features delicious Japanese-inspired dishes like ebi curry & katsu curry that are perfect for lunch or a casual dinner. Pair your meal with their expertly crafted coffee or a sublime matcha latte, & you're set for a fantastic experience.
The staff are friendly & knowledgeable, always ready to help you pick the perfect drink or sandwich. In the warmer months, their terraces offer a lovely spot to relax with a drink, & the occasional live DJ adds a fun, lively touch to the ambiance.
If you want a unique café experience that combines excellent Japanese flavors, top-notch coffee, & a cool, social atmosphere, Osmo X Marusan Café-Terrasse is a must-visit. Don't miss out on their sandwiches-they're truly some of the best in Montreal!
Highly recommended for locals & visitors alike.View more
The most delicious egg sandwich I have ever had. The yolk was cooked perfect. The atmosphere is very hipster & unique. Lots of students doing work but the food is just too good! The chicken sandwich was also very very good.View more
I came here for a quick lunch. The place was very busy. You can tell it's a popular place among students. After ordering at the counter, they give you a number to place on the table & they bring your order to you when ready. The café is nice but quite noisy so it's not the ideal place to sit & study. I ordered the famous tamago sando. It was ok, not great. Apart from the egg, the rest of the sandwich was bland. Just too much bread. On the other hand, the chicken sandwich was very tasty.View more
I love the Macha latte & enjoyed the sandwich over all. But wouldn't recommend if you want to sit down & relax for a while & chill because the environment is a bit noisy & crowded with the students. I rarely got my space on that day. Food are great thoughView more
View more
Ive seen this place on instagram for so many times & finally tried it. We waited around 20mins in line during lunch hour in weekend. There're both indoor & outdoor sittings. Quite a lot of options for sandwichs drinks. The flavour is on point & highly recommend !View more
View more
I recently visited OSMO X MARUSAN Café-Terrasse & had a wonderful time. The food was delicious, particularly the Karaage sandwich. The atmosphere is cozy & inviting, with a charming terrace for outdoor dining. The service was excellent, & finding a seat was easy despite the crowd. If you're looking for a good lunch experience in Montreal, this is a great option! ☕View more
Lovely space & design, it looks like a modern cafeteria & lots of space to study. Though they do limit your time to just 2 hours on their wifi. Would recommend getting their sandwich & doing some work while drinking a coffee. Got the egg sando sandwich which was nice though some sauce would have really given it more flavor.View more
- 30 minute wait for expensive sandwich - strangely passive aggressive staff member - loud music - dead rat outside hojicha latte was alrightView more
The cafe has a nice concept. I tried the famous Tamago Egg Sandwich & chicken sandwich & was quite impressed. The rice curry was not bad. I would probably return when visiting Montreal. Would definitely recommend to my friends to try this place out 🩷👍View more
Love this spot 🌀The chicken karaage sandwich + iced matcha brought my soul back 2 my body. DJ was spinning, mix of ppl chatting & working. 🫶🏼View more
J'adore !View more
The chicken karaage was delish. However the egg sandwich was a let down. Way too much bread towards the end, the sauce didn't taste really good & it was heavy overall, as the egg is breaded.View more
Excellent! La sandwich tonkatsu était très bon & copieux. Bel endroit. Super système de son.View more
Came here for lunch with a friend to catch up. Loved it! The karaage sandwich was delicious!! I loved the mayo spread & marinade. The bread was subtly sweet & soaked up the flavors of the sauce well. I tried a bite of the tamago egg sandwich as well, which had less textures going on (the filling was just egg & mayo) but delicious nonetheless. Atmosphere was great for a little chat, & I stayed after to get some work done too. Lively but not too distracting. I would highly recommend this cafe! @thehungry.sheepView more
Food is decent & it has a big portion but takes a while to make (it takes about 20min for a sandwich). If you're going to order the egg sando, add salmon & curry since the egg itself is too creamy (unless you like them that way). The atmosphere is nice, but music is loud (idk if that's supposed to be the vibe of the place)View more
View more
The sandwich was better than what I expected! The bread is soooo good I wanted to ask where they get it but obviously they wouldn't tell us so I didn't bother asking hahaha the ambiance is also nice! Would definitely go back again :)View more
I had the chicken sandwich & chai latte .. both were amazing ! I loved the big outdoor terrasse & the overall vibe was very welcoming.. our barista Louis was the absolute best !!! Thank you Louis we can't wait to come again!View more
Super cute place with a great atmosphere! Very unique! I got the katsu pork & chicken karage sando! 🥪 Def get the chicken karage sandwich over the pork katsu as it had more flavor! Pork katsu sando could've used more flavor, pork itself was a little bland 😅View more
