Review Summary

Onigiri Shop is widely celebrated for serving generously portioned, delicious, and affordably priced onigiri that are larger than typical varieties, making them a satisfying choice for a quick meal. Many visitors appreciate the variety of creative flavors, the fresh ingredients, and the efficient service provided by the friendly staff. While the simple, clean, and casual atmosphere is well-regarded by most, some patrons have noted inconsistent experiences regarding order accuracy, occasional issues with rice texture or structural integrity, and concerns about allergen disclosures. Despite these minor critiques, the overall consensus remains highly positive, with many customers expressing loyalty to the establishment as a reliable, high-quality spot for comfort food in Montreal.

Food tastes great but please beware of cross contamination if you have fish allergies. I ordered beef tama & korean chicken but somehow ended up sick due to traces of fish.

Came here based on a recommendation from a friend. While I was a little hesitant at the price point at first (3 onigiri for $17?!), upon getting my food I realized the portion & size of the onigiri was well worth the price.

So good with seriously massive portion sizes. Plus the workers are really kind here. There was a small misunderstanding & I accidentally ordered three instead of two, but ended up glad that I did!

This is a cute shop & the onigiri are delicious & huge. My child has egg, fish, shellfish, peanut & tree nut allergies. He was able to eat the vege mix, & shiitake mushroom onigiris. Although he didn't enjoy the vege mix one as much. We ordered the eel, shrimp tempura, ramen egg, salmon & avocado onigiris, also edamame as well, for the rest of us. All were delicious. There are 4-5 tables, each table fits 2. Place doesn't have AC so it does get warm in the summer. We went there 3x when we visited Montreal, all were takeout, that's how much we enjoyed the food there! Will definitely be go back if we are in the area again.

Delicious onigiri for fair prices. It was pretty hot in the room & we were given only one board to five people, which made it difficult to eat without spilling. Nonetheless, I would absolutely recommend to try it out.
