Review Summary

Onigiri Shop is described as a fast, affordable spot with a great variety of onigiri that are generously filled with fish and other fillings, fresh and tasty, with standout options like salmon avocado, vegan kimchi avocado, and unagi; service is consistently friendly and efficient, making it a favorite for a quick bite for families and individuals, though some reviews note limited seating, a buzzy atmosphere with loud music at times, and occasional issues such as ramen texture or portions that vary for certain dishes; overall value remains strong with reasonable prices, and many customers say they would return.

Loved their Mount Fuji onigiri du chef, strongly recommended. Raw tuna/salmon onigiri & ramen were also good. Miso soup was flavorful. The food was made quickly, everything was well presented. A great place for a quick Japanese bite.

Have been told by the owner of Onigiri Old Montreal to try their friend store since its closer to my house. & to my surprise service was quick & food was delicious. Probably the best grab & go restaurant in the area. Highly recommend to try their Japanese egg yolk & Fresh Salmon

They use really good inari tofu & put a lot of it in the onigiri (same for salmon & their onigiri in general). It was better portioning of the tofu than in Japan! They don't use too much rice, just enough to wrap big chunks of whatever you choose (fish, beef, chicken, tofu). Very tasty & cheap price for what you get, it's really worth it.

This small spot is so lowkey! The food came out so fast, & the server was very polite & kind. They recommended I try the salmon luxe, which was delicious!

I had the miso soup & the'spicy' cooked salmon onigiri. Both lacked flavor & the onigiri was not spicy at all & quite dry. It was quite expensive for what it was too.

I took spicy salmon & Korean chicken. I recommend taking the Korean chicken!
My friend got tuna & honestly I really didn't like the tuna mayo …

They have such a great menu for onigiri & they are twice the size of onigiris you would get at other stores. I've tried the salmon, tuna, avocado, & fried chicken onigiris & all have been made fresh & tasty. For the price you can't go wrong. I've only gotten to go as the shop itself is quite small. They are fast with the preparation & they are well packed so I still think it's a perfect snack for on the go. They aren't wrapped like the traditional onigiris because they are a bit bigger.
