We asked to be surprised & just went with recommendations from the chef. While the seafood was just good, the mushroom & the lamb brochettes were incredible. I had to reorder some! The duck was delicious too, with cooked perfectly & with a great texture. It's a bit pricy, but that's just any restaurant downtown now. The service was great, the cocktails too. I recommend!
This restaurant location is incredible. The food was amazing, service was quick & enthusiastic & the ambiance is very lively & moody. I loved every minute at this place! It is pricey but well worth the cost!
The place is very nice, different. I highly recommend the canard au 5 epices (duck) & the yuzu sake (i like sweet alcohol). I was there on a date, but definitely suitable for a family/friend group dinner. The service was good, it wasn't loud & the atmosphere was romantic & serene in a well decorated space.
This was our favorite place in Montreal! We went back twice & had different meals & it all was fantastic! The 5 Spice Duck, spicy noodles are amazing! The service & staff were attentive, knowledgeable & made our visits so enjoyable.
Fun restaurant with delicious food. The only problem - the outdoor stairs need a bannister or handrail to help with accessibility.
The food & the service were incredible. We enjoyed everything we ate. The food was a new take on familiar dishes that were wonderful. I would absolutely recommend the tapioca dessert. We never would have tried it if our wonderful server, Clodi, had not suggested it, but it was amazing & indescribable.
The low rating is strictly related to the food. The service was great & our waitress was super friendly & knowledgeable.
The food quality, taste & preparation were subpar for a restaurant of this level. The meats were extremely saucy, everything was overly oily & frankly half the time I couldn't tell what I was eating from a flavor perspective.
I'm simply adding this review to share our point of view. We decided to come here because of the positive reviews & our experience was completely different.
Not huge portions but good to share, mapo tofu a bit spicy but nothing crazy. Great service & environment, food pretty good but I'm just not crazy about it.
Lovely servers who were very helpful. We had the Octopus skewers, the S&S Eggplant, the Duck platter & the Crispy chow mein. A minor mishap & they quickly took care of it. Great service, low key atmosphere.
Be aware that the restaurant has stairs at the entry as well as 2 stairs up/down to the bathroom for those with mobility difficulties.
The food was okay. I didn't find it special enough to justify the price. The menu descriptions make the dishes sound more flavorful & exciting than they actually were. I went in with an open mind & was genuinely looking forward to trying the food, but the flavors ended up being fairly average. I think my expectations may have been too high.
The service was good, & our waitress was kind & attentive. The atmosphere is beautiful & well-designed.
One thing I found extremely strange was the presentation of one of the dishes. It was served on crumpled paper, which honestly made me feel like I was eating out of a shoebox. It felt a bit odd & took away from the overall dining experience.
