We have been regular customers at this pastry shop in Laval for quite some time, & it has always been one of our favorite places to get croissants & other treats. Unfortunately, during our recent visits, we've noticed a concerning decline in cleanliness & hygiene practices.
Last Saturday morning, I went in as usual to buy my croissant. The employee who came to serve me had been cleaning while wearing blue gloves. She then came directly to the counter & started putting my order into the bag without changing her gloves. This is not the first time we've noticed similar behavior - employees handling money & food with the same gloves, which is simply unacceptable.
We truly enjoy your pastries & want to continue supporting this business, but proper hygiene is essential in any food establishment. We hope management takes this feedback seriously & improves food safety practices moving forward.
Ofauria by Maison Christian Faure! Good macaroons, very beautiful, very fresh, good taste! However, it is a bit expensive but this is a luxury pastry store so do not expect prices to be cheap. For example, 24 macaroons are around 65$! If price is not a problem, then you need to try at least once. I recommend!
My only complain would be the location. Very hard to find & almost no indication. As per my discussion with the employee, they opened a month ago so it makes sense, they didn't have the time to put some banner or advertisement.
Update 08Jan2026: I ordered a Galette des rois Frangipane online to make sure I can have one for today. Everything was correct, my order was ready to pick up as mentioned on the website. They gave me a warm Galette des rois which was nice. When I came home, I didn't open it right away since I wanted to cut it after supper. I had a big surprise that the Galette des rois was cooked too much. Indeed, the crust was more than golden & some parts were a bit burned. I didn't expect that for this pastry store & specially for the cost of 44$. I am kind of disappointed for this purschase & I don't think I will buy a Galette des rois again from them. See my pictures you will understand. Additionally, based on the taste, the flavor was a bit blend so definitely not their specialty.

I had the distinct pleasure of visiting ÔFauria, a truly refined café that exceeded all expectations. I began with a latte, elegantly topped with a dusting of chocolate powder-an indulgent delight with a perfectly balanced flavor profile. The Cheesecake 🍰was nothing short of divine-lusciously creamy, while the mango pastry 🥭 offered a vibrant burst of tropical sweetness, masterfully crafted. Each item reflected a dedication to quality & artistry. Loved it 😋❤?
French pastry shop straight from Heaven ! Everything there is absolutely delicious & of great quality. The only reason why their ratings are down is their prices. It is pretty pricy !

The hic.. I went for the'Trompe Oeil' Mango, I was so happy & craving it until , I found out inside it was peach/apricot… quite deceiving for the price. 🫤

This place is the new best French pastry in the city. Prices are a little on the higher end, but the food & service are definitely worth it. A cool spot to sit & enjoy the food inside, as well as great location overall. Definitely a deserving 5 star.
