Went with my friend & ordered 4 different dishes. We are big eaters, so usually 3-4 potions is just right. This time, we barely finished one each. Service is fast & kind. Their lemon tea with passion fruit is incredibly tasty & the place is clean. Will definitively be coming back.
Food is amazing, my friend swears by it. Thé price is average, on the weekend thé place is always full. Thé restaurant could use a face lift which would in turn increase thé price
Like others have said, great hearty food. Good price, really big portions. Lots of options in the menu. I love this place
This is a good restaurant to eat if you're craving chinese food. The service & employees was great & the portions are more than enough. Service was fast. Im a student & price wise, it's not too expensive.
One of Montreal's culinary landmarks!
There is a dining area, so you can eat in, just don't expect anything fancy. Nobody goes here for the decor. It's always crowded & noisy. Every square inch shows the wear this place gets from being full all the time.
I usually just do takeout. It takes a few minutes for them to prepare your order. During that time, you get to hang out in the very cozy little waiting area with lots of nice folks.
But the food rocks, portions are good, & the prices are very reasonable.
If you happen to be with a group, with some preferring burgers, Nouilles Star is just around the corner from Picks. How cool is that?
The food here is cheap & the portion size is huge for the price. Easily value for money. I tried the thai chicken fried rice, general tao chicken, & peanut butter dumplings. Dumplings can be skipped, the wrapper was just too thick & chewy. But the chicken & fried rice were good. Service is fast, & it was easy to get a table.
This place has existed as far back as I can remember & hasn't changed at all, its previous name was Soup & Noodles. It is Chinese-Canadian comfort food of the highest order. Prices have gone up but still extremely reasonable compared to other joints, especially considering the massive portions. All the classics are there, standouts are anything with Peanut sauce & the fresh veggies.
The service was really good & quick. The food was delicious as well with affordable prices. I highly recommend their special fried rice.
I went many many years ago, & the memory of this place haunted me & I knew I needed too go back it was sublime. & memory did not mislead. It was even better than I remembered. With prices in this economy that would be difficult to beat. 🥰😍
Looking forward to returning to try more soon.
Great food for an excellent price. Highly recommend trying the General Tao Chicken & Fried rice. One order of each could easily be spilt between two people, the portion size was very generous. Perfect for late night dinning.
I have been eating at this place for a while now & their food never disappoints! They have so much variety in their dishes from sweet to salty to vegetarian & even vegan if I'm not mistaken. The portions are also very big for the price!! The staff is very accommodating & the service very quick.
Use to be a classic, still is good value for the price & great schedule close late all week... But the food taste is not as delicious as it used to be... Not delicious anymore but practical option if hungry late or on a budget.
The food was super nice (we highly recommend the sesame chicken), the dishes were VERY big (better to share) & good price. We went there as a family of 5 who eat quite a lot, we ordered 4 dishes as we saw they were big & left perfectly satisfied. They were incredible quick (less than 10 minutes) & super nice.
I used to grab the general tao from that place well over 13 years ago & it used to be one of my favorite Chinese eateries. 13 years later & the food is still amazing! Seems like this restaurant has paused time & prices (general tao for $13) & kept the great quality in the food & service. I was there yesterday & tried the general Tao (of course), some veggies spring rolls & beef & broccoli. Everything, & I mean everything was made fresh, tasted amazing & was just spicy enough. If you haven't tried this gem yet, you're missing out. Will I go back? 100% yes!
