I ordered dinner over the phone & came to pick up, service at the counter was good & staff were kind. While waiting for my food I could see into the kitchen where things seemed very messy. When I went home with my food, I realized the beef in my Vietnamese noodle soup was off. The beef had a visible green shiny film & a fishy odour… also my wontons were not satisfactory (small & not well made).
This place has existed as far back as I can remember & hasn't changed at all, its previous name was Soup & Noodles. It is Chinese-Canadian comfort food of the highest order. Prices have gone up but still extremely reasonable compared to other joints, especially considering the massive portions. All the classics are there, standouts are anything with Peanut sauce & the fresh veggies.
The food i recommend is sea food hot pot & sea food tomato soup. I converted & convinced my arab boyfriend into liking asian food & this restaurant. My bf convinced me into liking the restaurant too.
Less stars because they use plastic containers not paper for delivery , & when paying the owner put himself his tip…?!
Hot & sour soup is always delicious!🔥 General Tao chicken is excellent too! 👌🏼Chinese broccoli with mushrooms & garlic 😋.... So many dishes to try!

THE spot you need to discover. Huge portions for dirt cheap, heavenly chicken & soups, you will never wait more then 5 minutes for food that is amazing. Whenever im feeling down i just go to noodle star sit alone on a table & order a giant 13$ chicken noodle soup & eat while scrolling, super comfort food.
Nouilles Star in Montreal offers a delightful dining experience with flavorful dishes. I tried the General Tao's Chicken, chicken soup, & Cantonese noodles-each was fresh, perfectly seasoned, & satisfying. The portions were generous, & the service was prompt. A great spot for a comforting, casual meal in the city!
Ça fait des années que je commande a chaque semaine aumoin 1 a 2 fois & j'aimais toujours votre nourriture & la quantité offerte pour emporter. & spécialement ma soupe préférée aigre douce & les calamar & crevette sel & poivre & tant d'autre plat. Mais votre soupe malheureusement a changer c'est la 5iem fois que je commande ces derniers semaine & que je suis déçu. Au point de ne pas pouvoir les manger. Je crois vous avez changé le chef ou la recette. J'aimerais bien quelle soit comme celle d'avant car j'en raffole.
Cuisine ok, j'ai pas goûté à tout leurs plats, la soupe goûtait la canette de tomates mais ça passe. Le service très irrégulier, on te plante un pichet d'eau sans serviettes de tables que tu dois demander à mesure. On ne vient jamais te voir de toute façon ils parlent un minimum de français. Les serveurs sont quand même gentil on va leur donner. & quand c'est le temps de payer le terminal de paiement sans grande surprise exige des pourcentages énormes pour ce genre de resto où il n'y a que un minimum de service. Je n'y retournerai pas. C'est un bon endroit pour la livraison assurément.
Not 5 stars it's a 10 ⭐️!! Je venais à ce restaurant, il y a 10-15 ans & Wow c'est devenu encore meilleur!! Tous les plats sont généreux & savoureux 😋 Congrats to Joséphine, Wing & all the cooking Team 👏👏👏! If someone has a complain please stay home, as you have no values. Si quelqu'un a envie de se plaindre, restez à la maison parce que vous manquez de savoir vivre!! Wow un superbe souper d'anniversaire pour moi!! 🤍🕯🙏
They served me almost raw processed simili chicken in my soup. I emphasis the "almost raw" chicken. Made my meal absolutely disgusting. They get 2 stars because the broth itself was ok. Also, on the takeout side, the place is absolutely filthy. Never getting anywhere near that place again.
Best General Tao in Montreal. The food is always fresh & have some of the best soups. The Cantonese Wonton is best on cold & rainy days.
The service was great & the won ton soup & hot & sour soup were very good. Unfortunately, our cantonese noodles (beef & veggie) were TERRIBLE. We absolutely love Cantonese noodles & have had good, bad, & excellent before, & this was absolutely the worst. The beef had clearly been cooked earlier & was simply tossed with the lukewarm, so-so sauce. It tasted like overlooked, leftover roast beef. Seriously. The noodles also had clearly been pre cooked or something, as some of them were crispy, some almost raw, some totally overlooked but cold. It was such an odd experience, given that they are a noodle house. We will never be back.
