Le tartare de boeuf: délicieux

Les choux de Bruxelles: une tambouille nappée d'une sauce un peu étrange.
Les champignons: ils nous ont laissé un goût rance & amer qui a gâché notre repas… en plus de ne pas goûter le champignon..
Nous avons laissé les deux morceaux entiers (sur 4) dans l'assiette en mentionnant que ce n'était pas bon.
Le serveur est tout bonnement reparti avec le plat, sans poser de question ou sembler être surpris.
Le 20% de pourboire obligatoire sur une machine qui ne laisse pas d'autres options est le 2e goût amer de la soirée.
Il faisait un froid de canard dehors & leur porte d'entrée ne ferme pas bien. On s'est gelé toute la soirée. Vraiment désagréable.
Je ne recommanderais pas ce restaurant.

Très bon restaurant à Montréal! Nous avons eux un super service autant par le barman que par notre serveuse (Béatrice). Service très rapide accompagné d'excellentes explications sur les plats. Nous avons demandé à changer de place au cours de la soirée, notre serveuse nous a trouvé une place en terrasse très rapidement. Je recommande cette place!!

Charming & great vibe with a French twist!
We were wonderfully surprised by this little bistro with French culinary accents. Everything we tried was absolutely delicious, specially the beef tongue. Yum!!
Highly recommended to enjoy a drink, share some delicious food & a great conversation among friends. You won't regret it!

Nous avons découvert ce restaurant à l'occasion d'un week-end à Montréal, & quelle belle surprise.
Julien nous a accompagnés tout au long du repas avec une superbe sélection de vins, & nous a fait découvrir la cuisine de l'équipe, à la fois savoureuse & inventive.
Mention spéciale pour le chou & le flétan, qui étaient mes plats préférés, mais tout le reste était vraiment à la hauteur.
Franchement, chapeau. Je recommande sans hésiter. Bravo à toute l'équipe !

While I have heard great things about Nolan, I was very disappointed with my experience.
We ordered Zucchini flowers, mushrooms, pasta dishes & tomatoes.
The zucchini flowers & the mushroom were deep fried, but it was a lot of batter & it was dry/burnt in my opinion (you can see the pictures for reference). I would not recommend either of these dishes.
The tomatoes with the labneh were delicious, & this was probably the highlight of the meal. The pasta dishes were good.
The service is what really frustrated me. It started off great, but our waiter disappeared halfway through our meal. I was interested in trying some wines, but I was only proposed one glass (it was empty as of the second course). Half an hour after our plates were cleared, no one asked if we wanted any dessert. I finally had to call out to a neighbouring waiter to get the bill. Ironically, the tipping options were set to 20% to 25%. It might be in view of the new law that passed, & that would have been ok nowadays if the service was at least passable.
In retrospect, I sound picky, but the food was not great & the lack of attention was frustrating. I think my expectations were fair for the cost of the meal. Perhaps it was an off-night, given the other reviews, but I'm not sure if I'll be trying it again.

Tout simplement un de mes restaurants favoris! Un coup de circuit a chaque fois. Menu changeant avec des ingrédients frais & saisonnier. Chaque assiette est un vrai délice, à partager, ou pas. L'ambiance est décontractée & sans prétention avec une carte des vins à faire saliver. Je recommande fortement!!!

Delicious meal! Beef tartare was incredible, we ended up taking two!! There were a few dishes that lacked flavour & the pesto pasta was overly salted, but all in all highly recommend. The toffee with black tea caramel was absolutely stunning! Staff is well knowledge both about food & drinks, atmosphere is cozy & personal, but very dim. Food takes some time, but it's worth it as each plate is carefully thought out & put together. Ingredients are seasonal & local. Plates are small & made to share, we took 6 dishes for 4 people.

For the price of the tasting menu, I didn't feel the food was up to standard. However, I understand & respect that they use local ingredients & it's not cheap. The staff is very nice, which made the experience pleasant. However, it is extremely loud. When the restaurant is full, there is a huge amount of echo, enhancing everyone's conversations, so if you're coming here to speak & hear each other, maybe consider another place. This was the loudest restaurant I've been to in Montreal. The owner should consider putting insolation & sound cutters through decorations.
I do recommend if you want to encourage local & like to taste different things.

Absolutely love this neighbour gem - meals are always inventive & delicious, with a great variety of choices while still being a curated menu of seasonal & market-inspired dishes. Cocktails & wine choices are expertly chosen by Tommy & Tiffany respectively - go in completely indecisive & they will ensure you leave happy & full. I love stopping in after work for a chill night - "as you are" is the motto & they maintain an atmosphere that shows they mean it. Highly recommend for a date or dinner with friends!

La cuisine est tout simplement parfaite, avec un menu qui change régulièrement pour suivre les produits de saison c'est impossible de se tanner d'aller manger à ce restaurant. Il n'y a pas une fois que je suis allée que j'ai été déçue. La façon dont ils ont de réinventer des idées pour les rendre à un autre niveau est impressionnante. Je recommande sans aucune hésitation. De plus leur service qui nous permet de bien connaître tout les ingrédients dans notre assiette avec leur serveurs qui sont toujours numéro un cela créer vraiment une belle expérience.

Went on Friday May 31st for dinner around 6PM. We sat on the patio, which puts you right in the thick of the Little Burgundy neighborhood. We shared about 5 dishes, each of them lovely. The highlight for me was the halubut crudo. I dont drink, so the bartender made a mocktail that paired nicely. Service was quick & polite. All in all, an excellent dining experience. Would recommend!

We celebrated a trio of birthdays while we were visiting Montreal. Nolan is super cool vibes & cozy. We let our waiter who I believe is one of the owners curate a menu for our group of 6 at a price point that we set. Felt like we had a great variety of food & good portions & they were able to accommodate some items for my dietary preferences. The food was really good but what was the best was the service. The workers were warm & so friendly & we stayed many hours enjoying the vibes. Highly recommend!

While searching for a New Year's Eve dinner spot in Montreal, we discovered Nolan online & were drawn to its charming atmosphere. Booking it turned out to be the highlight of our trip! The ambiance lived up to our expectations, & the food surpassed them - truly incredible. The service was exceptional, especially when we discovered the pre-fixed menu leaned heavily towards meat & fish dishes, posing a challenge for my vegetarian girlfriend. The staff went above & beyond, ensuring she had delectable options for every course. The drinks were equally noteworthy. Meeting Abel & Eli, some of the wonderful individuals behind the establishment, was the cherry on top - their warmth & hospitality added a personal touch to the experience. Without a doubt we will be visiting again & we already recommend Nolan to friends. Thank you for the amazing start to the year!
