Amazing food, amazing environment, Beyonce was amazing 💖 we were a big group she recommended us really good dishes & drnks based in our taste, THAT GIRL DESERVES A RAISE (also the bartender was super nice)
The food was ok, but nothing to make an impression or recommend/come back. The meat skewers were super salty, barely could feel another flavor. Drinks also took quite a while, & there was a huge delay between dishes to the point we thought they didn't put the order in. the restaurant it's quite pretentious, which wouldn't be bad on itself, but definitely do not recommend at this price tag. there are many restaurants with far better food & drinks, & even for less than half the price

I found this restaurant from an Instagram blogger when we visited Montreal. I cannot say enough about how incredible the food is - absolutely delicious! But Estelle is the best! She seated us & she was our waitress. The menu was in French so she chose our five dishes & we loved every single bite.
We tried this place for the first time & thought it'd be as good as Barranco (same owner) but we were greatly disappointed. We tried one of the ceviches which came with rice & found it wasn't going well altogether, & the portion was half of Barranco. The scallop in curry sauce was just ok, scallops weren't big considering the price. The lomo saltado meat was very tender, but sadly both latter dishes were served merely warm. They also don't have yuca fries on the menu which is a must for a Peruvian restaurant. Drinks are highly priced like other fancy restaurants. The service is however good & it's the reason it earns a better rating.
We had a wonderful experience at Nikkei & will definitely return. We told our waiter, Felix, that we wanted him to choose the most popular & best tasting dishes for us. We have no allergeries or dietary restrictions! Our meal consisted mostly of fish & seafood with the excepion of the Nigiri de Res which was sublime! The area is very quaint, & we were fortunate to avoid the rain by opting to dine outside on the terrace. (Tiradito Kyuri, Bento causa, Bacalao al vapor, Curry de Hotate, with Pisco Sour & Ginger Maracuya Sour cocktails & cold sake with our meal)
We went for dinner for my boyfriend's birthday & we had a great time!! The vibes were great, & the staff was very nice. We got the Yuzu Margarita & the Noche Netsu for cocktails, both really good! We ordered 6 dishes for 2, everything was delicious but my favorites were the Nigiri de Res, the Nigiri de Unagi & the tuna tartare. They even gave us a dessert on the house for my boyfriend's birthday! Will definitely be going back!

Emma was our waitress today & she was fabulouuuuus! I let her pick our dishes for the night as we had no idea what to get & she really knows her stuff! I recommend the "ask Emma" option when you stop by haha
Nikkei was very good! Great cocktail & mocktail menu & lots of well thought out dishes. Would definitely recommend the res nigiri, chirashi, & the tiradito with hamachi. The service was also good, but there was a lull between dishes. It was also very noisy. Still worth a visit for sure.
We loved the food & cocktails. What we didn't appreciate is that when we showed up the first thing that was mentioned is that we only had the table for 2 hours ( there was no mention of this at time of reservation)...quite a letdown in terms of feeling welcomed. So as amazing as the food was, the tempo was too quick between dishes & then dessert. We felt rushed throughout the meal

Charming Peruvian-Japanese fusion restaurant. Each of the dishes we ordered was delicious & at the same time, being fusion, allowed us to explore new flavors. We went at noon which allowed us to enjoy the restaurant at our leisure, chat & enjoy at our own pace. The service was good & on par with the food. I look forward to come back
The fish dishes were really good, however service was very uneven (waited 20 minutes for our bill) & the other dishes simply tasted of Todarashi. The decor is nice but the crowd is just instagram white girls being loud & obnoxious at most tables.
Amazing experience for date night at Nikkei & my first time at this venue. The space is beautiful, with a warm ambiance & great Latin music. My boyfriend & I came to try the tasting menu for the Chochin Matsuri October Event. All six services were deliciously pleasant to the palette, & my favorite dishes were the sushi & curry scallops! I would like to add that we sat at the kitchen bar, & we were perfectly hosted by one of their new Chefs, Leo, who walked us through each course & happily answered my questions as he prepared them. He had the friendliest vibe & recommended my now favorite cocktail, the Dark Feeling. Thank you, Leo, & the staff for a wonderful night!
Our server was amazing. Food was super fresh. Wish there was a bit more variety though. Dishes were very similar., but very good. Would definitely go back. Great selection of wines & cocktails & cocktails
Thank u for a lovely evening
Simply incredible. My mom & I devoured 5 fabulous dish. First the Tron Shi-To de res, a beautiful fusion dish. Then came the tiradito Nikkei & causitas, both delicately scrumptious. But the tour de force was by far the last two dishes: Sopa Sepia & Ribu Arequipeño. The Sopa was rich & hearty, great udon & squid. My favorite was the ribs. Also, rich but not too dense sauce, perfectly spiced. We came quite hungry so maybe 5 dishes might be a bit much for a regular couple. Oh & the cocktails were killer too.
Nikkei means fusion, & they sure delivered. This food makes me proud of being Peruvian.
The food was excellent & had great tastes. The only comment I have is that many dishes tasted the same. There were too many dishes that had raw salmon & tuna that all tasted about the same. Would just get one of those unless you like eating the same thing in a different variation. There needs to be more variety. The callous were excellent as were the little slider hamburgers . The Chirashi, Tron Shi-To de atum, ceviche & Tiradito basically were all the same dish with some minor differences.
