This was my first experience with Canadian poutine. Did it live up to the hype? I didn't think so, but I'd give it another chance.
I stopped at Nickels Deli for lunch & tried the Nickels Poutine, a'classic poutine with smoked meat'. The dish was served hot & didn't take too long. The smoked meat appeared to be some kind of diced ham (Canadian bacon?). The portion size was more than enough, & it tasted fine but seems like an odd thing to eat as a main dish.
The server did not check on me after I received my food. He asked to refresh my drink when I was ready to pay. It felt a bit inattentive. The restaurant did not seem overly busy while I was there.
Atmosphere was calm & causal. Cool looking bar area. I'd probably dine somewhere else next time I visit the Montreal area.Voir plus

Très beau spot à Dorval, pour une bonne bouffe en famille ou entre amis. Le personnel est courtois, les prix sont abordables & la nourriture est délicieuse.

First, the food was excellent.
However, it took at least an hour for our food to get to us. We didn't order anything crazy.
The bathroom was fine, the staff tries to be helpful, & the food is delicious. We'll be back, it's one of my grandpa's favourite places.Voir plus

Food was very enjoyable(evening menu), the service was terrible. Waitress was really slow. Had to ask for waters, she forgot what was ordered & came back multiple times to double check.
