The vibe alone is worth the visit. It honestly felt like stepping into one of those dark, cinematic video game restaurant scenes, moody lighting, graffiti walls, a kind of futuristic Tokyo metal aesthetic. It's edgy & industrial, but somehow still cool & chic at the same time. Not pretentious, just effortlessly stylish. The whole space feels immersive, like you're in on something special.
For food, we told our waiter to surprise us & pick the dishes, & that was 100% the right move. Every plate that came out was excellent. Everything felt balanced, intentional, & exciting without trying too hard.
The drinks were also great. I ordered one of their house cocktails with sake & peach (I wish I remembered the name), & it was perfectly done, smooth, slightly sweet, super refreshing, & not overpowering. Definitely one of those drinks you could have more than one of.
Between the atmosphere, the food, & the drinks, Neotokyo absolutely delivered. If you're looking for a spot that feels unique & memorable while still serving genuinely amazing food, this is it. Will definitely be back.

Got there a bit before opening, & was lead right in. Had a nice tonkatsu ramen. Nicely balanced unlike the uber porky one I had in Tokyo:) Too much pork is that possible - lol.
Staff was very nice. Nice vibe.
2026: the second time was even better. Those spicy chicken wings are so good. The neotokyo beef bowl is also quite nice. The lychee mocktail is yummy. Service was better than 1st time also
2025: Such a cool vibe! I am curious to go back & try some other options for sure.
Initially wasn't sure if we had to be seated or seat ourselves! It was quite busy. Workers are great.
Wish we had better service for the water, but it was super busy so it is fine!
I did not enjoy the octopus entry cause of the mayo, I would have loved it without.
The noodle however were amazing.
The fillipino style clementine ice cream was awesome
It's easy to get ramen wrong, but I was very impressed with this spot. The ramen was rich & flavourful. It had a good vibe, quick service, not fancy or pretentious but just darn good soup. I'll go again.

Atmosphere wise, this place is really cool & scores a 100 for vibe, feels like AKIRA. Definitely check it out at least once. Decent ramen, they give you a good amount of noodles BUT the truffle ramen I ordered had no meat at all just a couple of mushrooms & cabbage...? Quite a disappointment for a $20 bowl, not recommended. The Takoyaki was good, recommended.
The Yakisoba (their Monday special) was surprisingly good, we really liked it, you could taste the lightly charred flavor, wife & I loved it. Overall the ramen just was OK at least for the ones I ordered, otherwise this could've been a 5 stars.
Great spot for Ramen & inventive cocktails. Vibes are cool, servers were helpful & attentive. We had the spicy chicken karaage, tan tan ramen & truffle miso ramen. Everything was fantastic. Some of the best ramen we've had!
The vibe is 100% Tokyo. The truffle ramen was ridiculously good. Portions are very generous. Friendly & quick service. I will definitely be coming again!
The reviews aren't wrong. This is an amazing restaurant. Really top quality. I'll start with the atmosphere (vibes), & they were amazing. I loved the decor; it really added to the whole experience. Great work. Our waitress was so sweet, gave us some recommendations, & kept bringing us water! Now for the food, it was super. I got the spicy dry ramen; keep in mind it's actually really spicy but super good, so I highly recommend it. We also got a side order of sweet & spicy fried chicken, which didn't disappoint. I'd highly suggest going here; you won't be disappointed. Kind of random, but they don't accept cash, so keep that in mind. Thanks for the experience. I'll be back.
This place is such a vibe. Very cool, cyber Tokyo theme. Service is super nice in both English & French. Food is delicious. The Neotokyo mazesoba is a standout. Also the cocktails are very cute & delicious!
Very nice atmosphere in the dining place, giving the Japanese cyberpunk vibes. It's also a nice to hangout for a drink or two with friends. I have been here during lunch hours & it's crowded with a long queue. However, when I come after 8:30pm, I can straight walk in & have a seat without waiting.
Good food; good service; nice vibe. I do wish, however, that there were more vegetarian or vegan options. If customizable options exist, I think they should be better advertised.

Le décor est saisissant, avec des éléments qui plongent les convives dans un univers cyberpunk. L'ambiance est un bon atout, & je ne suis pas le seul à avoir remarqué cette vibe underground & moderne. Le service est chaleureux, bien qu'on note parfois une légère attente aux heures de pointe. Arriver tôt est donc recommandé. Pour notre part, un vendredi midi à 11h30, nous avions le choix de toutes les places! Côté nourriture, c'est un des grands points forts. Le ramen au curry est riche & savoureux, un véritable coup de coeur! De nombreux critiques encensent également les karaage épicés, & après les avoir goûtés, je comprends pourquoi : ils sont excellents! Cependant, certains plats, comme la pieuvre, ont laissé mes collègues un peu plus tièdes. Ce n'était pas mauvais, mais il manquait le fameux wow qu'on attend parfois. Par ailleurs, quelques clients ont mentionné que les prix sont un peu élevés comparés à d'autres restaurants de ramen à Montréal. Dans l'ensemble, NeoTokyo est un excellent choix pour les amateurs de cuisine japonaise, offrant à la fois des plats traditionnels & innovants dans un cadre visuellement captivant. Avec sa nourriture savoureuse & son service sympathique, c'est un petit resto intéressant pour vivre une expérience culinaire unique à Montréal.
The ambience of this place is great! It gives off a cyberpunk/stray vibe. Service was very good too. Food took a little too long but the server was very attentive. As for the food, my partner & I ordered the mazemen & the tonkotsu ramen...first few bites we were amazed by the flavour! But after a few more bites it gets old. Overall both dishes were too salty. The menu is small & doesnt offer much variety for food (yes for drinks). Not a kid-friendly place (nor picky-eater-friendly). It's also very expensive, $70 for two people, 2 ramens, 1 non-alcoholic drink & 15% tip.
