I had the chicken leg (substituted with chicken breast slices) & mushroom noodle. The broth was so flavourful & fresh. It hit just the right spot on a cold day. The staff was very attentive.View more
Egg noodles with mala spicy chicken broth was really goodView more
Service was amazing & friendly! Best Mala broth I've ever had, noodles have a great bite! What a discovery! Highly recommend!View more
Had sichuan pepper broth with rice noodles & fish, which was good. Partner had pot stickers & potato in chili oil & pepper, which was also good. Not as much as emphasis on lamb as I expected from Yunnan styled resto but also good to have lots of options. Comfortable & clean interior, friendly staff. It was packed inside so very noisy.View more
Really excellent noodles here, especially the broth base. Kid friendly.View more
Hands down my favourite place for a comforting bowl of noodle soup! The interior design is nice & service was good. I ordered A4 as my appetizer & it was delicious, but I wish it had a bit more Chili oil on top. My main dish was B1, & it was amazing! The warm spicy broth is just what you need on a chilly day. Definitely a must-try place for noodle lovers :)View more
I took the sechuan noodles, broth was tasty, garnishes just ok. The vegetables imperial rolls as an apetizer weren't good: almost no vegetables inside, dough too thick & not pleasant taste of old frying oil.View more
kimchi veggie broth was phenomenal! definitely recommend trying the plum fries. can't wait to go back!View more
A gem!! Rich broth (made without powder) with fresh & plentiful ingredients served in a clean & charming space by a super kind & helpful dude. If you're waiting in that line across the street, forget it & cross over - it's worth it!View more
The Rice Noddle with chicken broth is 13.99 then adding chicken is $2 extra. The chicken broth was delicious but that tiny little 3.5 pieces of chicken was dry & tasteless. Then it is clear why people line up for the other noddle soup restaurant right across the street. I paid extra for the no wait time. It is over price for the quality of the cheap ingredients… 2 pieces of broccoli & a table spoon of corns.View more
Nabe Nouilles de Riz Yunnan
Nabe is a small restaurant in Chinatown that specializes in Yunnan rice noodles. I've often avoided reviewing Yunnan rice noodle restaurants because in my opinion, many of them don't differentiate themselves. Nabe deserves a special honour.
I got the Classic Soup with Sliced Pork. As one of their cheapest dishes, I honestly wasn't expecting much, but this dish stood out to me. The noodles were pretty standard rice noodles, but the broth was significantly more rich & creamy than I was expecting. The ingredients were also quite generous, with a whole collection including pork slices, vegetables, mushrooms, tofu etc that made for a great meal. I will admit however I found it a little weird eating normal sausage in this compared to Chinese sausage, but it didn't take away from the dish too much. Note that there are no noodle refills (that I was aware of).
Overall, great food & would recommend! Only big suggestion I have is: please switch to reuseable cups instead of using wasteful plastic cups. It's not like the bowls or spoons are disposable so there's no real excuse for using plastic cups.
