Nice & comfortable spot with plenty of availability on a snowy Sunday evening. Very accommodating of our baby Averie. Great appetizers, entrees were hit or miss but the steak frites was dope. Good wine list too but if you want to snag the baller bottles that are fairly priced you better get there early in the week ; )
Wonderful dining experience, excellent service & ambiance! Photos are from the salle à manger menu: the scallop tartlet, raviolo al uomo & venison are not to be missed. For dessert: the "chocolate" & the passionfruit pavlova... options for both the fresh/fruity vs. the rich/decadent dessert lovers. Would've taken photos but all you'd see is an empty plate-both were delicious but if you had to choose one, go with the chocolate!
Nous y sommes allés en ce soir de réveillon à la dernière minute & malgré tout avons reçu un accueil, une table & un repas excellent ( entre autres carpaccio de truffe excellent) & savoureux pour un prix tout à fait correcte. Merci à la direction & toute l'équipe salle & cuisine pour sa merveilleuse organisation un soir de fête & malgré l'affluence que cela génére.
Ce n'est pas ma première expérience au Restaurant Monarque. Première fois, j'ai essayé la Brasserie... qui était ma fois.... Incroyable! L'os à la moelle ( un délice) ... Cette fois-ci, j'ai essayé La Salle à manger... un mot... Miam 😋. Le service est incroyable, la nourriture délicieuse 🤤, les cocktails excellent, l'ambiance #1 ... Je n'ai rien de négatif à dire. Bravo 👏!
Superbe restaurant. Gastronomie française maîtrisée à la perfection & service courtois, professionnel & efficace. C'est une valeur sûre. Les tartares sont délicieux.
Beautiful bistro style restaurant. We had a beer, a glass of wine & an order of the lamb poutine. It was delicious. Such a lovely spot to grab a nice drink & some light bites. Would highly recommend.
Quelle belle soirée! Nourriture spectaculaire, ambiance conviviale. Nous étions assis juste en face de la vitrine de la cuisine, très beau spectacle de voir tous les cuisiniers travailler ensemble pour nourrir une salle remplie de clients affamés. Seul petit bémol, nous aurions apprécié une pause entre le service de l'apéro & l'entrée. Nous n'avons pas eu le temps de terminer notre pretzel & notre vin avant que notre mozarella arrive. Pour le reste du service, rien de négatif à mentionner.

Went & had apps & dessert for a date - excellent energy, food, & service Delightful bone marrow with escargo. Delicious squid. Delectable chocolate cake. Excellent service in both french & english.

Really great food & attentive staff! Came as a solo diner but didnt feel weird or awkward at all! Had the mushroom gnocchi, duck confit, & layered chocolate coconut cake. All of the food was great with the duck being a little salty, but the flavor was good & rich. Also had the Monarque cocktail & both the mock tails which were tasty as well!
Great ambiance & great attention from the service. The dishes were great but the Tarte Tatin was especially devine! I highly recommend it! Perfect to be shared!

For my 60th birthday, I chose Montreal to celebrate & Monarque to serve the Perfect Birthday meal ... & they did just that. A truly incredible tasting of all served to me by incredible staff. Merci Beaucoup.
Wow - what a gem. I went here while in Montreal for a conference, together with my wife. I booked a reservation for a Friday evening a few weeks before & was able to get a 630 tim. We ate in the brasserie. I read some other reviews commenting the servers seemed a bit snobby - we did NOT notice this at all. Everyone there was so friendly, with multiple people checking on us throughout the meal to see how they could help or serve us. For reference, we are Anglophone, in our 40-50s, & not cool/chic in anyway but were treated with class & like royalty. All my dishes were memorable - I can still remember the tastes : the bone marrow appetizer, the dry aged rib eye, & the eclair of the day (was maple pecan). My wife ordered the gnocchi appetizer & Duck confit main & loved them both as well. I saw a combination of people dressed more casually (people coming from work) & those more formally (e.g. on dates). I can see this being suitable for both types of outings. For a combination of its vibe, service & quality of food, I can't wait to return. Part of me wishes I lived in Montreal so I could frequent this exquisite restaurant more frequently!
