I just walked out of here & I would say this is a place that showcases food & cooking as an art. Its a place of creativity, of food combinations I've never heard or thought of but everything is so delicious & best of all seasonal ( which means fresh, tasty, most probably local & sustainable). Its a place to share a plate instead of having one to yourself. The staff is friendly, knows their shit & I got served an amazing bottle of wine. I recommend you make a reservation & when you get there, dont hold back. Enjoy!

Il s'agit d'un très bon restaurant, mais ce n'est pas "le meilleur" au Canada, non plus que le meilleur à Montréal. Cela dit, les plats que nous avons commandés (carottes au jaune d'oeuf, poireaux façon moules, radis avec foie de volaille & sot-l'y-laisse frits, pâtes aux palourdes) étaient tous intéressants & bons. Toutefois, peut-être est-ce la conséquence de nos choix, tout était assez lourd, manquait une touche de fraicheur. Nous n'avons pu terminer le dernier plat même si notre serveuse nous a laissé entendre que nous ne commandions pas assez de plats (ce qui d'ailleurs est un peu déplacé). Petits détails : les radis manquaient de croquant pour élever le plat, ils contenaient beaucoup d'eau comme s'ils avaient trempés trop longtemps dans un plat d'eau. C'est le plat que nous avons le moins aimé. Par contre, la mousse de foie étaient fantastique. Je l'aurais plutôt mangé avec du pain ou un autre support que les radis. Je comprends la réinterprétation voulue du radis beurre, mais même si le concept est intéressant, ce n'est pas parfaitement réussi. Enfin, le plat de carotte est intriguant, je le reprendrais, mais il y a trop de carottes pour deux personnes. À un point on se lasse & on aimerait passer à autre chose. Cette impression que plusieurs des plats s'apprécient seulement en très petites quantités nous l'avons eu de manière générale pendant la soirée. Je recommande ce restaurant avec l'avertissement de ne pas avoir des attentes démesurées.
The quality of the food is on point & the concepts behind them are very well thought out. My top 3 favourite we ordered were the scallop sandwich, eggplant dish & profiterole. Our server recommended most of the dishes based on the classics they bring back versions of since the menu changes daily. Our waitress was also super knowledgeable about the menu & new best pairings & serving sizes. Would recommend for people who are foodies. I would definitely go back & have other dishes!

Ça ne me donne pas envie de retourner. Ils sont victime de leur propre succès... ils ont certainement le moyen d'embaucher plus de staff Edit aout 2023: de retour au Mon Lapin en vrai cette fois (pas en take out pandémique comme la première fois!!). Expérience culinaire inégalée avec ingrédients frais & de saison, mais sans aucune prétention en même temps, ce qui était vraiment apprécié. Cuisine d'apparence simple mais aux goûts complexes & très réfléchie dans le contexte d'un restaurant de quartier de la Petite-Patrie/Petite-Italie. Service extrêmement sympathique, conseils à point pour le vin. Très bel endroit dans lequel on mange très bien & où on se sent bien accueillis. Gros coup de coeur pour le croque-pétoncle, poireaux en canne, plat de maïs, morue grillée, tartare de boeuf dans la fleur de zucchini, pâtes aux tomates sungold, jus de palourde & bottarga ainsi que la bûche d'été pour dessert. Vraiment une belle expérience, j'ai déjà hâte d'être de retour. Contente de voir aussi que le restaurant garde son âme & sa vocation initiale de restaurant de quartier malgré le prix de restaurant #1 au Canada & les multiples touristes qui y sont à chaque soir (nous avons senti que le personnel était très content de nous servir en français!). Déjà hâte d'y retourner!!! Octobre 2021: Nous avons mangé le repas de l'action de grâce du Vin Mon Lapin/Casgrain BBQ. QUEL RÉGAL!!!! Le canard était tendre à souhait & allait parfaitement avec les oignons grillés, le gravy était bien assaisonné, un peu piquant & s'agençait super bien avec le canard & les patates, les patates pilées était crémeuses & goûteuses & la garniture de chips & ciboulette était parfaite! La salade de chou de Bruxelles & tomates vertes était fraîche & acidulée, coupant la richesse des autres composantes de l'assiette. & enfin, la tarte à la courge sweet candy était succulente, pas trop sucrée, la garniture de croustade complimentait bien le goût de courge & le caramel (belle texture avec un petit goût d'alcool, peut être du bourbon?) rajoutait une touche sucrée & fumée à la tarte. À défaut de pouvoir fêter l'action de grâce en famille, ce repas délicieux était une très belle consolation que je recommanderais à tous!!
Easily understand why this can make to No.1 restaurant in Canada. Enjoy everything on my meal, the peach sorbet is out of this world. However, the bread seem to be dry (maybe because it was end of day - we got reso at 9:45pm) The scallop sandwich was supposed to be very good based on many people recommended, however I feel it mushy & oily (the croque / sandwich outside later). 1st 2nd bite is good but eventually it become uneatable, I took the croque out & it only the scallop. Staff is friendly, & this place is not expensive at all compared to the top ranking. I spent around $90 each pre-tax & tip.
Nous étions là pour fêter mon anniversaire. Le service & l'accueil étaient impeccables, & la nourriture diversifiée & originale! Rose, notre serveuse, était exceptionnelle. Elle nous a suggéré un menu en fonction de nos goûts & la sélection de vin qu'elle a faite était parfaite. Je recommande fortement, une belle expérience culinaire à un coût abordable! Absolutely loved the croque-petoncle! If you like seafood, you should totally give it a try. The bread was buttery & toasted to perfection. The petoncle filling was delicious. Our server recommended that we pair it with the cucumbers. They were fresh & super tasty. Keep in mind that the prices are very steep. I would even argue it is too expensive for what it is. I ordered the lobster & it literally had 4 pieces of lobster. It was delicious, but not worth the price. The lamb was also cooked to perfection, soft, & salty from the anchovies. It was basically perfect. But again, super overpriced portion wise. On a better note, the servers were super attentive & kind. My plate & cutlery was always clean. & they refilled my water all the time, which showed just how attentive & present they were. The best thing was the dessert. The crostata with grappa was crumbly, buttery, & the grappa was on point. It was sweet, light, & absolutely delicious. I really enjoyed it, but I don't think I'll come back again, mostly because of the prices.
J'ai récemment dîné chez Mon Lapin & j'ai été enchanté par l'expérience. Le restaurant est vraiment magnifique, avec une ambiance chaleureuse & accueillante. Les plats sont savoureux & magnifiquement présentés. Chaque bouchée était un plaisir, & le dessert était également trop bon, ajoutant une touche finale parfaite à un repas déjà excellent. Je recommande vivement ce restaurant pour une expérience culinaire exceptionnelle où chaque instant est un véritable plaisir.
Bonne expérience, nous avons passé un très agréable moment. Le tartare & les pétoncles étaient incroyables. En revanche je m'attendais à plus de surprise sur un des plats signature, à savoir le croc-petoncle. Cela dit, nous recommandons ce beau restaurant.
Great restaurant with good selection of cocktails & wine. Would recommend to celebrate special occasion. My favorite was the soft shell crab infused with lobster bisque.

We were so happy to snag one of the latest reservation times for our trip to Montreal. Top tier service that made the best recommendations including food & drinks. For a group of 3, we arrived with a comfortable appetite & shared 7 plates & 3 desserts. Reduce the number of plates if you're looking to sample the dishes but increase the plates if you arrive hungry. Everything we ate was impeccable. Mezzalune di patate was my favourite dish of the night. The shitake mushrooms were a burst of flavour. Buckwheat cake was the recommended dessert that was remained more consistent on their menu. Set the Resy reminders if you plan to visit, you won't regret it.
Always amazing food, the menu changes constantly (except a few signature dishes) so you probably won't have the same dining experience twice if you come here. I recommend the buckwheat cake, it's perhaps the best cake I've ever had in my life. As for food, the scallop sandwiches are great, basically anything seafood will also taste great! If you want to, you can let your waiter decide your dishes for you, I can assure you whatever you end up eating here, you will thoroughly enjoy it. Even if you're not a wine drinker, let them recommend at least one to go with your food & you won't regret it!
Outstanding service & impeccable food! Our server Rose was so fun & knowledgeable. I highly recommend the wine pairing. One of the best dining experiences I've had!

Absolutely amazing, totally deserving of the title of Canada's best restaurant. The stars of the night were the scallop sandwich, agnolotti, black sausage in brioche & the buckwheat cake. The service was also exceptional. Would definitely recommend & come back again.
Impeccable & worth the wait! We went for our anniversary dinner & the staff went above & beyond to give us the best experience. We had an early sitting & I was glad for that because the restaurant was packed when we were leaving. The service was outstanding & the value for money is undeniable. The food was unique & flavourful. Whoever designed the menu loves food & has a deep passion for playing with flavours. it's an exciting menu & it was so hard to pick what we wanted. I absolutely recommend the baked oysters & lamb shoulders. I cannot wait to come back!

Vin Mon Lapin was probably the best culinary experience I've ever had. My boyfriend & I cannot stop talking about it. Everything about this place was top notch from the food to the service to the ambience. We let the service determine what we eat & drank rather than ordering directly from the menu & I wouldn't recommend dining there any other way. The coursing was perfectly paced with maybe about 5-7 minutes in between when we finished one dish & then received the next. Our favorite thing was the scallop sandwich & the tartare de beouf, for me, was a close second. If you can snag a reservation at this spot, definitely do it!
Probably the best dining experience I've ever had. Our server, Rose, was phenomenal. Perfect balance of friendly, fun, knowledgeable & professional. Everything we ate was insanely good. Wine pairings perfect. Highly highly recommend this restaurant & looking forward to coming back next time I'm in Montreal.
