A little cozy diner! But not your average food, a well deserved 5 stars for service, professionalism & excellent food! Seafood specialty dishes as well as a wonderfully executed lamb brick platter! A must visit!
J'avais hâte de découvrir ce nouveau restaurant sur la main.
J'ai pu le découvrir lors d'un dîner entre collègues.. J'ai été quelque peu déçue : beaucoup d'attente pour être servis, des plats sans accompagnements comme la viande ou le tartare (sans croûtons, sans salade / frites), la climatisation trop froide.
Un beau potentiel qui mérite des ajustements.
Molenne ended up being a great time for us as well as being a nice place to bring out-of-towners for a quintessential Montreal food experience. Some of the dishes were a miss, but would definitely recommend the oysters, garnished potato, lamb brick & the braised cabbage.
The atmosphere was super quaint & the restaurant was full on the Tuesday night we were there which made for a lovely experience.
The service was great & our server was very kind & helpful with the menu as well as helping us to pick a great wine, but the dishes came out very slowly, about 40 minutes between services.
That being said, would still recommend Molenne for a romantic night out, or for a business dinner.
L'endroit est très beau, mais on est mal tombé ce midi. Poisson trop cuit & plat de pâte froid. Service trop long & on était à peine 15 personnes dans le resto. Sûrement un oubli de nos assiettes, on a demandé au serveur d'aller voir ce qui se passait après 45 minutes d'attente. Je donne la chance au coureur mais pour ce midi un 5/10 pas plus. Désolé mais franchement décevant.
Excellent cuisine, Great choice of wine with different & interesting option & a someliere who knows her wines.
I have to say that serive was not what one expect at that price point: slow with long wait. Perhaps missing staff... This was particularly annoying as next table received super service from host (friends?). Maked us feel second class...
Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre visite d'il y a quelques jours. Bon choix de fruits de mer frais, excellents cocktails & belle carte des vins raisonnable. À essayer! Nous y retournerons.

On ne s'extasie pas tous les jours, mais ça m'est arrivé ce soir au Molenne. Franchement excellent sur toute la ligne. Les plats sont goûteux, raffinés, recherchés & exécutés d'une main de maître. Les coups de circuits : le crabe des neiges, les couteaux de mer, le chou braisé & le steak. L'atmosphère générale, incluant la décoration (remarquez la machine Vachon à l'entrée des toilettes!) bonifie l'expérience. Ne ratez pas l'occasion d'y aller.
Délicieuse découverte , l'agneau était à tomber par terre, tellement goûteux avec une sauce complètement addictive !! J'ai vraiment adoré, l'entrée avec le voile de gelée était délicieuse aussi, les palourdes un peu moins incroyables ça manquait de saveur. Le seul petit hic c'est le prix notamment de la section fruits de mer, dont on a encore de profiter mais les produits à l'unité sont très onéreux.
Belle expérience! Menu de groupe, ça peut être risqué… Mais nous avons tous été ravis. Service agréable & sympathique - overall fun & délicieux. Merci Mollenne 😗
Most of the food we had was great, however there were some dishes that were a miss for us & weren't at the level of the others:
- Worth getting: Clam Chowder, Lamb Brick, Bison Tartare, Duck Cannelloni
- Ok: Hamachi Crudo (not acidic enough in our opinion), Scallops (small portion for $9/each), grilled potato, & the desserts
- Not worth the money: Shrimp (one single shrimp for $19…), & the grilled broccoli (tasted like boiled broccoli you can make at home)
Otherwise, the ambience & service were great. Drinks were tasty too. They're a relatively new restaurant, so I imagine they're still figuring out the menu. I'd still recommend going, if you choose the right dishes.
Joli resto aux airs de bistros européens. De bonnes assiettes joliment présentées, mais chères. Je vous suggère les cocktails ou le vin à la bouteille puisque malheureusement, les vins au verre ne sont pas très bons.
Came here for my birthday dinner & it was incredible! My favorite was the duck liver & the broccoli & labneh. & don't get me started on the wine. 10/10
Quelle formidable découverte spontanée, faite lors d'un bel après-midi de congé, à vadrouiller dans notre belle Montréal. Tout était divin ; de l'accueil au service, à la nourriture, aux délicates & gentilles attentions, à l'ambiance feutrée. Une adresse raffinée & chaleureuse à retenir, vraiment, maintenue par une belle équipe !
