We tried most of the seafood, oysters were too small to taste, sea urchin were fairly sweet, little clams were covered with a spicy sauce, razor clam was the best in taste & portions, shrimps were fresh & tasty. The salad was good. The pinns cotta with grilled corns was a suprise.The waitress was great.

Superbe découverte ! Les plats sont raffinés, frais & savoureux, avec une belle mise en valeur des produits de la mer. Le service est attentionné, l'ambiance chaleureuse. Belle carte des vins. J'y retournerai certainement. À essayer!
we were a party of two on a friday evening, at the start of second service, & we were excited to try out molenne. unfortunately, the food & overall experience didn't quite live up to our expectations.
tldr, while our server was super nice & fun to joke around with, their explanation of the menu wasn't very enticing. the dull descriptions made the plates feel less appealing, which in turn made the experience of eating what should have been someone's inspired gastronomy feel unsatisfactory.
the wines by the glass were also quite limited. they had run out of their maceration by the glass & offered no alternatives, which was really disappointing for me. i ended up heading to plongeoir afterward to soothe my craving for a funky orange wine.
finally, the bussing & wait times were quite long. after finishing our first course, we stacked our dirty plates & utensils in the corner of the table to make things easier, but they sat there for what felt like 15 minutes.
Such a lovely space. Chic couples who
look like they stepped off of a fashion show runway rub shoulders with families in jeans & baseball caps, & the service is attentive & helpful regardless. Most of the dishes are fresh & creative although some were a little too on the sweet side for our liking, like the sea urchin gnocchi, while others, like the halibut cheek marinated in olive oil with wild mushrooms were pure genius. Really impressed by the wine list which was affordable & included really interesting local wine. & the dessert-the cheesecake in particular: simple, rich, delicious. Maybe a bit too much of a splurge to go more than once or twice a year, but definitely worth a return. visit..
Service impeccable, ambiance branchée mais conviviale. Pour la cuisine, mon avis est moins tranché : oui, c'est bon, indiscutablement (morue charbonnière particulièrement réussie, tartare de thon, palourde casino, gâteau basque au fromage) & le choix de vins est étoffé mais mon convive & moi avons trouvé l'expérience onéreuse pour l'expérience globale.

Belle découverte! Plats soignés en goût, textures & recherches! On voit ici que tout a été bien pensé pour nous servir des plats savoureux & avec produits locaux (Québécois), c'est très apprécié!!! Vraiment je vous le conseille fortement! Service hyper chaleureux & professionnel! Belle ambiance, décor feutré & très chaleureux!!
Beaux choix de plats poissons & fruits de mer (les couteaux miam!), service attentif sans être intrusif, belle ambiance & prix raisonnables pour la qualité

Had my eye on this place for a little while since I knew Miro was involved (used to be at Damas). That meant the wine list would be great & it was. Small but charming place with cozy leather banquettes, very French but unpretentious. Food was amazing, some original twists on some classic favourites. The scallop crudo in raspberry water & the tuna tartare in a melon sauce were absolutely crazy & I also recommend the cod in shitake bouillon. The service was on par with the fantastic dishes. It felt like they were only serving us, our needs were met without asking & they weren't pushy with the bill. Very friendly, taking a minute to be chatty, explaining dishes well. Very attentive, friendly & relaxed. I want to tell everyone about one of my favourite restaurants

Cuisine très raffinée. On a particulièrement adoré la tartelette de mousse de foie de canard, les betteraves glacées & le couteau de mer.
Souper en couple au bar le week-end. Belle atmosphère au bar & resto cosy & super bien décoré, définitivement une belle ambiance. Service attentionné & impeccable, bravo. Malheureusement j'ai été un peu déçu de la plupart des plats, belle finitions & présentations mais les plats manquent de punch, mauvais accords entre les ingrédients. Dommage que les plats n'ont pas été à la hauteur car le reste était vraiment bien.
Cocktails were pure craftsmanship, service on point by one of the owner & amazing bites from the seafood to the mains. 10/10 would go again & special s/o to the lamb dish because it was outstanding.
I am not a fan of seafood usually but decided to give this place a try after a few days in Montreal. What a delightful experience! My parents were visiting & we randomly ended up here, but were so pleased with the whole place. The service was incredible! The drinks were fantastic- & nevermind the mushroom cod! Totally recommend if you're in the area! The Mile-End with a view cocktail is definitely the best in the menu!
Commendable dish curation & attention to detail goin on. Drinks were great. The garnished potato side is off the charts. The strawberry shortcake is divine. Super fresh seafood across the board. The food presentation & array of ingredients stands out.
Mon copain & moi y étions pour célébrer nos 4 ans de relation. Notre soirée était hallucinante! Le service, la nourriture, le vin, l'ambiance: tout était parfait. Molenne est certainement un de meilleurs restos de Montréal. Notre serveur François était à la fois pro & super amical. Je recommande chaudement l'agneau, le choux braisé & l'homard poché. Déjà hâte d'y retourner. Merci encore à toute l'équipe! ✨
Vraiment une belle découverte! Une midi de semaine en amoureux, nous avions besoin d'un moment, d'un vin & d'une bonne bouffe!
Entrées de salade d'été (pêches de l'Ontario mûres & sucrées à souhait) & huîtres de Terre-Neuve. Poisson du jour (truite parfaitement cuite) & pâte du jour avec un vin blanc de Provence. Au final, un gâteau au fromage avec du Louis d'Or râpé en prime.
& que dire du service de Dorothée.
Les portions sont plus petites qu'ailleurs, mais c'était parfait pour nous.
Je vous recommande sans hésitation.
