Modavie est un lieu intemporel qui nous rappelle nos racines, où dames & messieurs se réunissent pour manger dans une atmosphère animée causée par de bonnes conversations, de la musique live et les parfums boisés d’une salle vintage. Né en 1997, il est rapidement devenu populaire parmi les locaux et les visiteurs, et est maintenant considéré comme une institution montréalaise.
Régalez-vous avec une cuisine française raffinée dans un espace antique et tamisé sur deux étages. Du classique tartare de bœuf, au savoureux ris de veau, en passant par la fameuse ratatouille, vos envies seront facilement rassasiées.

Nous avions réservé pour fêter l'anniversaire de mon neveu. La nourriture était excellente, malgré un service un peu long, compréhensible étant donné l'affluence ce jour-là.
Cependant, au moment où nous terminions la dernière coupe de vin, le gérant est venu nous demander de libérer la table car d'autres clients attendaient. Ce geste a été particulièrement mal perçu, surtout dans le cadre d'une célébration.
Nous fréquentons régulièrement cet établissement, & c'est la première fois que nous vivons une expérience aussi désagréable. Nous espérons que cela restera une exception.

Tout était très bon, particulièrement le canard & les pâtes du jour. Toutefois, mes attentes étaient trop élevées par rapport à l'agneau. La cuisson aurait pu être meilleure. La surface n'étant pas bien saisie.

We had a lovely dinner at this charming French restaurant. We ordered the house salad, onion soup, & rack of lamb. Everything was delicious & beautifully presented. The lamb was a bit more cooked than I would have preferred, but it was still flavorful.
Service was friendly & attentive. We were seated in the room next to the live music, which was perfect - we could enjoy the ambiance while still having an easy conversation. Overall, a wonderful dining experience that I'd happily recommend.

Live music, tasteful food, & great service. The location is good, but parking can be tough because the area is always busy. Still, it's definitely worth visiting.

Went to Modavie on a Wednesday night & it was packed. I loved the whole experience. From the food, to entertainment, to the service, it was amazing. I ordered lamb chops & they were delicious.
I also had cold crème brûlée for dessert & wanted to order more. Finally I had tea to digest.
Our server's name was William & was remarkable, quick, efficient, polite.
There was also a jazz band that made the whole experience much more enjoyable. I will definitely come back!

Good food, but weird reservation system. Have to specify that you want to sit near live music when reserving, otherwise you will be sat far away where you can not hear the live music.

Walked in with no reservation & was immediately sat! The restaurant itself beautiful, very cozy & it was the perfect place to people watch. My drink was delicious, as were the scallops & filet mignon. Everything was cooked to perfection. My waiter was also extremely attentive, he provided the BEST service. I will definitely be returning my next visit to this gorgeous city!

This is one of the best restaurants I've eaten at in a long time. The poutine was excellent, as was the filet mignon. The atmosphere & service a really, really good too. I would happily eat here again.

Stopped for lunch at this lovely restaurant. We were greeted by the manager/owner. Lovely man & a great sense of humor.
Got sat by the window & the decor was fabulous.
The waiter was lovely & gave us excellent recommendations. We got the escargout, salad, salmon, & Mac & cheese. Absolutely phenomenal.
The best salmon skin we even had. The cheese on the escargout blew us away. Thank you so much.

What a lovely spot. The food is excellent - the best mussels & broth I've had in my life! Cocktails are clean & delicious. Ambiance & timeless decor make this a lovely spot for lunch, cocktails, or dinner. Will absolutely be back to explore the menu more!

Food was excellent. The lamb cavatelli was excellent & so was the steak frites. The service was beyond belief. Rarely do we go to any restuarant with actual professional wait staff. Tyler was impeccable, aware, attentive, but not bothersome or rushing the experience. Hope the establishment treasures him! A perfect special dinner out on our Montreal mini vacation.
