Not gonna lie I came here over a year ago last august & I couldn't stop thinking about the steak knives here. They were so sharp & cut through the steak like butter. The food was also really good. We got drinks & salad as well! service was really good.

First of all, I would like to thank the waiter who took our orders for their continued hospitality. Secondly, the guy who served our main meal mistakenly put it in another table without any apologies thus making me feel annoyed that he didn't do his job properly. This situation also made the people who sat next to us felt embarrassed. He could've have been tired or something else, either way I wanted to point this out as an experience dining in this restaurant. Overall, the food was great & we look forward to the next visit here! Merci!
Bring back the pappardelle. The cavatelli just doesn't pair well with the gremolata. Why change something that works? It's been 8 months & I'm still thinking about it!
French restaurant. Server claims lamb is their specialty so I ordered the lamb chops & told the server I would have them however the chef recommends. I was with a big group & the lamb, while cooked medium, was room temperature. Tender, well seasoned. Service was good. Live jazz music was great. Would go back.
Merveilleuse découverte , plats succulent !! Les calmars pour entrée était vraiment bon & que dire de mon plat principal ( pâte du moment ) trop trop trop succulent , linguini au canard effiloché, fois gras & truffe... juste trop miam .
I do not recommend coming to this restaurant because it was a huge disappointment for us. We had a reso but the restaurant was not busy at all, with many empty tables inside. Our server greeted us & we placed both a drink & food order. My mom got her coffee right away but I think the server forgot my wine. I sat & waited for 30 minutes before I got impatient & tried to flag the server down. When we finally got our food, which also took a really long time, it was mediocre. We ordered the mussels & fries & when the guy who delivered it opened the cover of the bowl, a mussel fell onto my mom's foot. The fries were also cold & soggy. The grilled octopus was okay. It was also cold & for the price I thought it would be a bigger portion. In total we spent over $100 cdn & it was not worth the money to me.

Modavie exceeded expectations on a Saturday night when our party of four managed to snag a table without a reservation, a pleasant surprise given the busy weekend atmosphere. From the moment we sat down, we were greeted with the lively ambiance of a live performance by Solane by Starlight Trio Swing, adding a charming jazz vibe to the evening. We began with a bottle of Chablis, Seguinot - Bordet 2022 - Chardonnay, a crisp & refreshing choice that paired well with the meal. For appetizers, we had the mussels & fries, a solid choice with mussels cooked perfectly, accompanied by crispy fries. The steak & fries followed, & though not the standout of the night, it was prepared to our liking. The salmon filet was the highlight, cooked to perfection with a great balance of flavors. To round off the night, we all shared two servings of the crème brûlée. A classic choice, it was executed well, providing a satisfying & sweet end to the meal. The ambiance, music, & food made for an enjoyable evening. Modavie offers a cozy, jazz-infused dining experience, especially great for a night out in Old Montreal.
Great place! Seated immediately without reservation despite how busy it was. Food was great, whole family enjoyed it. Best lamb chops I've tasted in a long while. Plus they had an excellent live musician

Our server Patrice was very friendly & helpful. He provided us with an excellent Merlot to compliment the lamb chops & was very attentive without being obtrusive. A most enjoyable evening!
