Food is just amazing, the service is good & fast. I ate the best mushroom's pizza ever & a perfect lemonade!! I've been there a few other times just to buy bread (they are all tasty). Take some time & visit this place!
I updated to 5 stars.... Lot better in the new location. The breads are still one of the best one that I knows...
Merci la vie bake a variety of different breads with the options of different ingredients & different flavors. The craftsmanship of the bakers is superb, on top of that, the appearance of the bread is always stunning. You could choose to dine in the bakery with delicious coffee or take out, they also offer outdoor seats during the summer time.
We had lunch there & the food was really good, love the unexpected mix of flavours. Sitting outside is so calming & loved the scenery.
The only remark is that you can't really modify anything on the menu to accommodate certain restrictions of food so my young kids weren't able to eat much other than a croissant & some bread.
But they did enjoy the matcha ice cream very much 😀
My favorite place up north. Breads are amazing. Food menu needs a little more variety. The only thing bad to say is that when buying pastries they should put them in boxes. I bought a mix of six pastries & they are placed in a paper bag. Some of the pastries stuck to the bag & the bag became oily after a few minutes. Almost stained my car seats.
Had a wonderful breakfast here very simple but very tasty I had the pancetta with two eggs over easy on a open crossiant amazing it was called dej de Gars, I do like having eggs on a croissant I do that at home for myself. My partner went for the vegetarian open croissant Desayung Espanol which looked great with eggs tomato & lots of dill.
The food here is really good it's a very busy place the staff are great & parking is tight but it's worth the wait.
I have tried the lemonade that they do both strawberry & pineapple I find the strawberry is better.
There breads & baguette are very good quality also there pastry's l really like the smoked maple croissant a favourite.
It's a 50 minute drive from Montreal but it's well worth it.
We bought bread & pantries here. The highest quality. Obviously, I recommend it.
Our favorite brunch place & is definitely worth driving 40 min from Montreal to have fresh & crisp croissant, exquisite dishes that changes every season finding its inspiration around the world & stock up for their amazing bread (Mad Scientist is my favorite). The service as usual is top-notch!
I stumbled on this café while cross-country skiing on the Petit Train du Nord trail, starting from Prévost & heading towards Piedmont. A tiny sign read, Merci La Vie Café - a few meters away. A short ski & walk got me to the cutest cafe with cozy design vibes & a delicious menu! I wish I could have skied away with a few loaves of bread. Instead, I settled for a financier sarrasin pistache & a chai latte. Please add matcha to your menu:) Can't wait to visit again with a proper takeaway backpack.

Let's say the real things about this place: (+) Food is quite good & well presented. Some pastries were however too much cooked. (+) Eating outside is pleasant. (-) Service is too long (3.5 hours for table d'hôte 3 services). It was actually 4 services but our group had enough waiting for the 4th (trou normand) However we were a group of 16 people on a beautiful Saturday at noon, which makes it understandable. (-) Parking spaces are limited. Shouldn't be always the case. (--) Everything is simply too expensive (eg standard bread loaf 10$, passion fruit ice cream small pot 25$, cookies 5$ each, table d'hôte 60$, all that before tax & tip). My opinion is that the quality of the food, although good, isn't worth such a price.
We stopped off on our way cycling Le petit train nord. Let me just say what a fantastic treat. Highly recommend stopping in. Great bread!!!!! Thank you!
3 stars is average, 5 stars is exceptional Very tasty & fresh meal Very good fresh bread & pastries dine there Nice terrasse & nice service One of the best place in Laurentides area
Really good food & bread. The service is ok & slow, but nothing more.
After sooooo many years I finally made it here! & I'm looking forward to coming back in the warmer months, to sit outside & enjoy the gardens while having a drink & a bite. It's definitely a destination for locals & tourists alike. The menu is innovative, vegetarian friendly & the best part is being able to buy amazing breads, pastries, coffee, beer & sausage to go! The staff is very attentive & professional & the interior is warm & inviting . It's a must on your culinary trip up North!
Absolutely the best!! The bread is so unique & tasty, the pastries are delicious, the brunch menu is gourmand, & the staff is friendly. Bravo for this amazing restaurant, the only thing we don't really like is when eating outside, your plate is served on some compostable plate & utensils.
Merci to you, my life is better because you’re in it. The food is next level, everything they do, it’s no secret. But beyond that, the staff are attentive & …..jolly! Makes it very fun place to be. Their patisserie & viennoiserie & breads stand apart from anything else. remarkable!!
