Overall, reviews paint Mellon Brasserie as a lively spot with a strong core of well crafted beers, a friendly staff, and a welcoming vibe. Guests highlight a bright, casual space with a nice outdoor terrace and rotating taps that keep things interesting, along with tasty snacks and a pizza option nearby that pairs well with pints. Some note slow service at times and bar-only service, along with occasional confusion over pouring or foam, but many praise the quality of the beer and the sociable atmosphere that makes it easy to linger. A few mention that non alcoholic beer options could be better and some appreciate the authentic Czech style or IPA varieties. Overall, Mellon Brasserie comes across as a go-to brewery in Montreal for beer lovers seeking a friendly neighborhood vibe and good beer.
Was our least favorite beer stop while visiting Montreal. The beer just didn't hit our preferences specifically fruity/sour (the grape one was unique but not worth the cost). There is ample seating & the decor was cool.
Order beer at the bar OK & carry it to the table yourself OK, paying 15% for self service OK but … charging almost 11$ for a pint where one third is foam. Rip off for me. Not the first time by the way.
A really cool brewery & space that was right up our alley. Some fantastic beers in a province full of similar tasting brews so that was really nice. Super cute space & the staff were really friendly. Certainly a spot I could kill more than a few hours in & be happy to come back! Some of the best beer I had in Montreal made & served by some good people.
Please go out of your way to have a beer (or more) here. Staff was great - very informative & the beer was top notch. We had tried a few at Oktoberfest at Schilling, so we were glad to be able to finally get to the actual location 🍻 cheers! We'll be back every time we're in Montreal!
