Très beau restaurant, un peu caché & avec un adorable staff ! La nourriture est délicieuse & le staff très accueillant. Un incontournable, les beignes !
Only good things to say about this place. Food was really good, portions are generous, the server was very nice (all of them were). They let you take your time & don't rush you. Highly recommend
Amazing food! Everything was delicious! THE SCAMPI PASTA is a must! It's delicious & seasoned so well, better than many italian restaurants I have been to. Only thing was the shnitzel was a littttle dry! But other than that, great service & food! Would come again to try the other dishes!
J'ai adoré ! Ayant un petit garçon de presque 2ans fait énormément de bruits, l'ambiance cozy avec une bonne musique de fond & des bruits d'autres personnes nous a permis de passer un moment convivial. Les serveurs sont très polis & patients. Kudos !
I had dinner at McKiernan & it was a solid experience. Not mind-blowing, but definitely enjoyable. The ambiance was warm & inviting, chill but still nicely put together, the kind of place you can relax in.
We started with the Burrata à la Passata & the tomato sauce absolutely stole the show. It was insanely good, super rich & flavorful. The kravlax trout with deviled egg was an interesting combo, delicate & fresh, though not as memorable as the burrata.
The Schnitzel Holstein was satisfying & well-executed. Crispy, topped with a fried egg, & very comforting overall. Nothing revolutionary, but it hit the spot.
The real highlight for me was the cheesecake. Hands down one of the best I've ever had-super creamy, smooth, & just sweet enough without being heavy.
Overall, McKiernan served up a very good meal with some standout moments. I'd go back, especially for that tomato sauce & the cheesecake.
This place is much larger than I expected, it has room for large groups & a varied menu. I had the chicken & I must say, it was just ok, not really something I would come back for but it is suppose to be one of their specialties. The side beet & grapefruit salad was quite good, but again, nothing to really rave about. The service was nice & the prices are reasonable. The biggest issue is the location, it is quite far from public transit, so not worth the long trek for me.
SERVICE!! The quality of the service was amazing, I think the best I have experienced in many years. The team looked very well coordinated & very cohesive. The food arrived in a timely manner, a new water bottle was always place on our table. The food was very good, well seasoned. It is more of a family style serving, each serving is good for about 2 people. The place is cozy, nicely designed & unique. Would be a nice place for a 5-7, date, casual dinning. There is a parking lot & it is indicated that you have to pay, but long story short is actually free. Would definitely recommend!
The food was excellent! I did not give five stars overall because of the service. Service was really lacking & we had to repeatedly ask for what we ordered. The bread is very expensive. We were a table of 16 & a lot of people ordered bread but some of us didn't because the waiter took it upon himself to ask us if we could just put the bread on one bill & share it. I want to paying 21 extra dollars for bread that other people ate at my table. It was my first time & I will go back but next time I will be a lot more careful about the service & the building. I also do not appreciate having to pay 18% tip which was included in my bill. I don't feel the service warranted 18% honestly I would've tipped 12%.
The food was really good & tasty. Lots of variety at a reasonable price on the menu. We chose the fixed price menu for our group of 12 & it was huge amount of food.
