A great atmosphere Irish pub. They have on the menu - unfortunately, only on the menu anymore - a challenge for their Guineiniss record book hot wings. Dear management: please, either make it worth it & give some reward for the challenge or remove the challenge from the menu.
Anyways, the Guinness record book hot wings were really good. Very hot spicy, but tasty spicy & good too. I'd highly recommend trying it. They have live music during the evening.Voir plus

Had the ghost pepper wings & had an out of body experience eating them lol! Glad I tried them (by'them', I mean just one), & be warned, they're insanely hot. Fantastic pub & great eats. Lovely staff, too. :-)Voir plus

We tried the rim reaper challenge but just the six wings. But couldn't finish them..We went as a group of 4 to try the spice level, but at the end there are 2 more wings left, it was extremely spicy..Voir plus

Great place to see a hockey match. I recommend to arrive early to catch a table. The potato soup is a must & of course the chicken wings. If you are like spicy, the spicy sauce it's good, not so spicy but it helps.
They say that at 10 pm a group plays & it gets even better so I'll have to come back.Voir plus

I have been eating bison burgers & drinking Guinness at this bar for over 10 years. They have a great selection of both Irish beer & food. The live music & comedy shows are always a great experience. The only thing I recommend customers avoid are the chicken wings, it's not worth the free T-shirt.Voir plus

McKibbin's is an institution here in Montreal. I have been coming here for 20 years & have so many fond memories of nights out here. The atmosphere is lively & they often have live music. Even more remarkable is that they are one of the few places in the city that seems to offer happy hour specials. That seems like a rarity in 2024. I generally find the quality of the food to be consistent. They have your standard pub fare & for the most part it is usually satisfying. If you are courageous you can always try their famous Reaper wing challenge but be warned those are some very spicy wings. McKibbin's is a great option if you are looking for a pub in downtown Montreal. You're bound to have a great time while you're there.Voir plus

Went there yesterday with colleagues. I took the Rim Reaper Challenge. Those wings are from hell. I'm used to eat spicy food but this his beyond spicy. My saliva was still hot last night ;-)
On a culinary critique, those wings are undercooked. Meat still attached too firmly to the bones....
On the beer side, Murphy's all you need to know. Taste a Guiness, taste a Murphy's & most of you will return to the later.
