I was completely blown away by the vegan poutine & the tofu glazed with BBQ & slaw on top were incredible too. Honestly, I don't think I'll ever need to eat non-vegan poutine again. Deserves much higher than the 4.6 rating it has at the time of writing this.

The tofu Nashville really hits those greasy umami cravings! Also, really enjoyed the kimchi fries.

I got the spicy Nashville tofu sandwich, fries & fried Oreos. All were incredible, especially the fried Oreos. You haven't lived until you've tried them cause GOD DAYUM. Atmosphere is very clean, hipster & homey. Service was fast & waiter was kind. Can't wait to come back. Big portions too.

Cool spot avec de la bonne poutine vegan. L'ambiance était bien, le staff serviable. Je trouvais le tofu un peu trop ferme à mon goût mais le reste était trop bon.

This is vegan fast food done really well, with good value, nice service, & a clean establishment. The Tofu Nashville was really good. Tidy, casual ambience & nice service.

Je n'avais jamais mangé de poutine mais quelle déception !!! Je ne sais pas si ça vient du restaurant ou du plat en lui-même mais je n'ai vraiment pas aimé. Le tofu était froid & les frites chaudes, je n'ai même pas réussi à terminer. Musique beaucoup trop forte pour un service du midi.

Maynard's is a fantastic, period. But in particular it is an amazing place for people with food allergies & the "comfort" food is fantastic!! The vibe is great & so is the beverage list. Vegan & non vegans alike will love the food! Dedicated vegan restaurant that is ALSO PEANUT, TREE NUT & SESAME FREE!!!!! In fact, one of their cooks is allergic to peanuts, tree nuts & sesame! So they get it! The poutine was fantastic! (Although I'd skip the vegan mozz curds, but that's just me) My daughter & I both had different grilled tofu sandwiches - Nashville & the BBQ- that were fantastic. Honestly, everything there is great! They hand cut potatoes as needed. Which creates amazing fries!! Homemade soy ice cream milkshakes that were fantastic Staff was so fantastic. The waitress was great! The owner came out to chat too. Had a great conversation about the fun wines he curates for the menu.

I wanted to treat some friends to a nice vegan meal, & I'm so glad I took them to Maynard's! As a vegetarian who eats a lot of cheese, I thought the vegan poutine was incredible. We also loved the wings & tofu sandwich, try it extra spicy if you're brave. 10/10.

Great place to eat, more taste in food would be great. I ate a burger with tofu & would add a tomato slice & some onions to it & it should be perfect ;)

All vegan restaurant. The kitchen is visible, so could see that the owner was very efficient & skilled as he prepared the food. Very reasonably priced too! The vegan cheese was sold out for poutine, though the tofu burger & fries, & mac & cheese were delicious. Fun atmosphere with vegan cookbooks & plants in ketchup containers.

Nice small eclectic restaurant serving some delicious Vegan Comfort Food. I was in a rush but stopped in for the Nashville Hot Fried Tofu Sandwich. I asked for it not so spicy, & it was delicious. Perfect temperature, perfect texture, perfect crunch. It was absolutely perfect, & the price was right. They are doing right at Maynard's. Keep up the great work 👍

Has to be one of the best vegan poutines I've had in a long time. Very excited to try other menu items, & get more poutine. Second time to Maynard & I wish I could add an extra star. We ordered the pogos & breakfast sandwich. The pogos we're fantastic & tasted just like I remember when I was a kid. The sandwich was good, extra points for thé delicious in house sausage patty they use it the sandwich. Recently tried the smash cheese burger which is delicious. Also the new & improved Tofu Nashville, I opted for the spiciest & it did not disappoint. A good amount of heat, the tofu was perfectly crispy which gives a perfect texture combined with the pickles & cloud like bun.

Un des très bons restos à Montréal pour du "comfort food"! La nourriture est goûteuse à souhait! Le sandwich tofu Nashville, c'est du bohneur. Les frites sont parfaites, autant si on les mange en panier que dans une bonne poutine. J'adore leur interprétation plutôt originale du mac & cheese. Le menu de base est court, mais le Maynard ajoute à l'occasion des surprises pour un temps limité, au gré des saisons & de l'inspiration. Il y a beaucoup d'amour dans la cuisine & ça parait! Oui, la nourriture là-bas est généralement grasse. Ce n'est pas un endroit où aller si vous voulez manger léger. Mais la bouffe est si délicieuse qu'elle plait autant aux véganes qu'aux omnivores, dont je fais partie! Les portions sont généreuses & les prix sont honnêtes. L'endroit est sympathique. Au niveau du menu, la seule amélioration que j'aimerais voir serais une sélection de boissons plus originales, à la hauteur de la bouffe! Le problème c'est le personnel. Ils sont souvent gentils mais il y a malheureusement une indifférence totale pour la langue française parmi certains des employés, de plus en plus fréquemment. Quand on fait des compliments sur le repas & qu'on se fait répondre froidement par une fille au comptoir "I don't speak French", sans que cette personne ne fasse le moindre effort de communication, c'est blessant. C'est d'autant plus inexplicable que cet endroit s'affiche pourtant comme un "safe space" & un bastion de la diversité. Mais la diversité culturelle de la culture canadienne-française en Amérique du nord, qui disparait lentement au dépend de l'impérialisme-mondialiste anglo-saxon ne semble pas les émouvoirs le moins du monde. C'est toujours frustrant d'être confronté à du progressisme à géométrie variable. Come on guys! Apprendre une dizaine de phrase au staff, c'est facile & devrait être fait avant même le premier shift. D'ailleurs, il n'y a absolument personne qui demeure à Montréal depuis plus de 3 mois qui ne devrait pas savoir bredouiller quelques mots. Vous ne faites jamais d'efforts quand vous visiter d'autres pays & êtes en contacts avec d'autres cultures? Je ne m'imaginerais jamais aller en Pologne sans préalablement ouvrir un dictionnaire ou consulter une page web pour apprendre quelques mots & interagir avec la polpulation. Ben c'est pareil chez nous! Comment pouvez-vous penser que c'est correct engager des gens qui ne parle même pas la langue officielle, qui ne sont même pas assez curieux pour en connaitre un seul mot. C'est de l'indifférence & un manque de respect pour la culture locale. Voici pour vous aider avec un starter pack: Bonjour Merci Est-ce que je peux prendre votre commande? Ce sont des personnes gentilles qui font de la bouffe succulente pour les bonnes raisons & sans cruauté! J'ai donc modifié ma note à la hausse. Merci au Maynard!

In Montreal & this city amazes me with its many vegan options. This is one of the jewel of MTL perhaps. Nice cozy atmosphere & great people on the counter & love that this is not a chain, but rather a small restaurant. BBQ Sandwich - home made bun(!), thick extra firm tofu & its toppings. Who needs meat when you have such good sandwich. The tofu a tad bud thick. But good overall Pogos - two freshly fried pogos in a thick hotdog. The batter perfect & satisfied a craving that I had for a long time. If you love hotdogs you will love this. Used with the hot sauce provided on the counter-The "forbidden fruit" - it is hot! Loved it. Crunch Wrap Supreme - the moment I saw this I had to try this. The CWS was amazing. The Vegan ground beef was so flavourful. A must try on my list. Wish I could have also tried their poutine, but next time.

AMAZING! We tried a bit of everything. The tofu burger was insane, crispy, firm, & the brioche bun added a perfect sweetness with the spice. The vegan/bean burger was very good, nothing exceptional but still delicious. The truffle mac&cheese (only available for a limited time) was unbelievable. I couldn't even tell it was vegan. The sauce was cheesy & the flavor of truffle amazing. The deep fried oreos also amazing, crispy outside soft inside. The batter wasn't heavy at all.
Can't wait to go back! I love that the menu is small & every week they add some extra little dishes with local, in season produce. Also very reasonable prices.
