Calamari appetizer was good but the octopus was great! The lamb chops were also excellent but pork chop didn't really work for us. Definitely would come back to try other offerings.

Very excellent experience here! Food was seriously amazing, highly recommended the pork chops! They exceeded expectations! Atmosphere was very pleasant, although personally we felt like the music was a little too loud. But Sofia was an amazing server, very friendly, & accommodating! Would definitely come back here again! 🙏❤?

A warm & elegant restaurant, we had lunch here today, the food was authentic & delicious. The beet/pistachio salad was excellent & pretty. We also shared lemon roasted potatoes & one of Máti's special mains, a slow-braise lamb neck that was fork tender & fortifying. We will be back. Highly recommend.

Excellente expérience aujourd'hui (feuilles de vigne, agneau, légumes farcis, yogourt grec, flan pâtissier, crème glacée baklava, à partager entre deux adultes & deux jeunes enfants. Un sans faute. Le cadre du restaurant est très beau & très bien placé dans le Vieux Montréal. Nous recommandons!

Olivier gave great service & conversation! The chef, Arash, cooked the entire meal during the weekend shift- we were so impressed with the food quality & speed! The candies at the end were such a treat, but the seafood dishes are their speciality :)

I had the lamb chops, Greek salad, & the potatoes. Everything was delicious!! & if you're a small party, I suggest you skip the table & go hang out with Oliver at the bar. He made excellent suggestions of beverages throughout the dinner. Everything paired well with the meal that was on the way. You will not be disappointed

Taverne Grecque Mati in the Old Port of Montreal is a great spot for Greek food. The menu offers an excellent selection of classic Greek dishes, all well prepared & full of flavor. The cocktails are also very good & pair nicely with the food. The restaurant has a cozy, warm atmosphere that makes it perfect for a relaxed evening in the Old Port. Definitely worth a visit.

Lovely place, very good food & nice server - but not impressed with the owners overbooking & then rushing us through a rare night out. My wife & I looked forward to this special birthday dinner & the first thing that was said to us when we walked in the door for a 7:00 reservation was'you have until 8:30 p.m. with the table'. That set the stage for rushing through the dinner. We waited for the courses, had to rush the dinner & then they had our table stripped 1 minute after we got up. Although the food was very good & nice atmosphere - having a timer on an expensive dinner tarnishes the experience.

My daughter booked this restaurant for her husbands birthday

I found the atmosphere nice & we weee seated at a banquette for 6
The music is clubby which is ok but when they played Zorba the Greek Theme it was great

The food overall was very good especially the taramosalata , lamb chops & shisido peppers

My daughter over ordered (daddy was paying )so we had enough for guests to take home

The only negative was the soup which was definitely missing seasoning

I cannot recommend this place enough. Everything from the good vibes when you walk through the door to the outstanding service provided by Sophia, & of course the insanely delicious food, blew our minds. The wine Sophia recommended was the perfect compliment to all the food. & if the entire experience was fantastic enough, we made reservations to go back so we can try the cocktails (made with liquors from Greece). This should be on everyone's list for go to dinner's. & live in the moment, don't rush your meal, sit & enjoy the sharing!

Gf lovers, only 3 items on the menu aren't friendly. The rest is completely gf naturally!
