Amazing food, the Pastitsio was out if the world. Highly recommend the lamb chops as well, Saganaki was also delicious.. just the prep time was a little longer but definitely worth the wait 👍

One of the best greek food. You will never forget it, I bet. The cook must be one of the best in the world. The lamb neck is something to die for. Cannot wait to return. Hats off!!!!
Our experience at Mati Greek restaurant was phenomenal! We went for a date night & were blown away by the delicious food & warm atmosphere. The shared dishes concept is perfect. We started with the Kopanisti -a rich, creamy dip paired with warm pita-followed by a savory Greek-style lamb neck with grilled shishito peppers & perfectly roasted Greek potatoes. The wine selection was excellent, & the service was impeccable. It was the best meal we had during our weekend in Montreal. Highly recommend!
Wow!!! I really loved everything about Mati! My friend & I recently celebrated our 50th birthday here , & the food, drinks & hospitality were impeccable! The braised lamb neck was so tender & wonderfully flavoured, & the grilled octopus was so delicious that we ate it all before I even thought to take a photo, but it was so good I really wanted to order another. I would have if I wasn't so full! Also, shout out to the green beans, roasted potatoes & tzatziki. They were all delicious as well.
The Prometheus cocktail was an absolute showstopper with the flaming garnish, & the entire cocktail menu was really thoughtful & interesting.

One of the best dining experience in Old Montreal. Sofia, Felix & Tio are such an amazing team & they deliver incredible service the moment you walk in & leave the restaurant. The music & interior design is very welcoming & sets the tone of a very homey & warmth establishment. The food is on the higher price range but the quality does not disappoint. Braised lamb, trempettes & their house dessert is absolutely phenomenal. A must try! Highly recommend to anyone who loves an authentic greek restaurant with quality plates & service.
Meant to go to another restaurant … we ended up at Mati & we weren't disappointed! We ordered the lamb neck, Greek salad, potatoes, & tzatziki, & every dish was delicious. The lamb neck was, without a doubt, the best I've ever had- perfectly tender & melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The seasoning was spot on, & it paired beautifully with the fresh flavors of the potatoes & creamy tzatziki. Furthermore, the service was exceptional. Our waiter was not only professional but also warm & attentive, making sure we had everything we needed for a perfect meal. Overall, Mati offers an authentic Greek dining experience that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for traditional flavors served with hospitality. I can't wait to return!
This is probably one of the best Greek cuisines I've had in a long time. The service was impeccable, the food tasted out of this world, & the ambiance was very inviting. Highly recommend this place when you visit old Montreal. We ordered the grilled octopus, the beet salad, & the Brezina fish. Oh my God, nothing was dry & everything tasted superb.

Ok let's do Greek… & we walked in. The restaurant is very welcoming, & congratulations your washrooms are super clean, that's important. We sat at the bar & enjoyed a Greek wine, the Kir-Yanni 2022, & it was lovely. The bartender was very skilled & it was nice watching him prepare cocktails. The owner came by & asked if we wanted the lights turned up somewhat as it was quite dim, but nice so we declined. We shared the eggplant with pita, a Greek salad with delicious creamy feta, the pieuvre & lamb chops. All was very satisfactory. A nice find, thank you!
Visiting MÁTI in Montreal for the first time was an incredible experience! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance set the tone for a fantastic evening. The restaurant has a warm, upscale vibe with beautiful decor that made it feel both inviting & sophisticated. Even though we arrived without a reservation (which I highly recommend making since it gets busy), the manager was incredibly accommodating & found us a table. We were so thankful for their kindness & flexibility! Our server, Emylina, was exceptional. She guided us through the menu, ensuring we had everything we needed & making the experience smooth & enjoyable. We opted for a family-style meal to share, & it was such a fun & satisfying way to try different dishes together. We started with an appetizer from the Dips Section, choosing the KOPANISTI-a mix of feta, roasted peppers, garlic, & chili. It was the perfect way to kick off the meal, with bold flavors that paired wonderfully with the fresh bread. For our second shared course, we picked a variety of options from the Hot Starters. The LAMB CHOPS were perfectly cooked, seasoned with parsley, lemon, & EVOO, & they melted in our mouths. The SAGANAKI was a standout for me, with the kefalograviera cheese drizzled in honey & flamed with ouzo-so rich & indulgent! We also loved the SPANAKOPITA, with its flaky phyllo pastry & flavorful spinach & feta filling. By the time our third course arrived, we were already impressed, but the WHOLE CORNISH HEN from the To Share selection took things to another level. It came with lemon potatoes & charred lemon, & everything was seasoned to perfection. The chicken was tender & juicy, & the potatoes had the perfect hint of citrus. By the end, we were absolutely full & didn't have room for dessert, but I'm already planning to try some on my next visit. The service, food, & atmosphere were all top-notch, making this one of the best dining experiences I've had in a while. If you're looking for a great Greek restaurant in Montreal, MÁTI should be at the top of your list!
This restaurant is simply a WOW place to dine! We were a team of 11 last night enjoying our Christmas dinner. Each one of us was really impressed by the outstanding quality of the food & the super cool atmosphere. Service was impeccable. Chef Nima went beyond excellency to make us enjoy expertly simmered & spiced WOW lamb & masterly cooked sea bass, while making sure before, to tease our palates with delicately crafted entrées. We ate the Custard Tart to its last crust, the Baklava Ice cream to the last smear, the Yogurt with Fruit Preserve to the last spoon. Before leaving, we were graciously indulged with Metaxa 12 stars. Who can ask for more? The concept of sharing plates really fueled our conversations (the wine helped too!) & left all of us with a renewed team spirit & a feeling of solidarity that will take us back to this restaurant. Thank you for such a WOW experience!

Tout simplement génial! Mati vient de se hisser dans mon top des meilleurs restaurants de Montréal. Chaque plat est un délice à partager entre les convives & l'ambiance est au rendez vous. Merci pour l'accueil super chaleureux & à toute l'équipe aussi bien en salle qu'en cuisine. Je recommande à 100%.
We enjoyed the food & the ambiance, but what made the overall experience memorable & what will make us to come back is an impeccable service & the management's engagement with guests. We watched him work the room like it was a family gathering! Thank you for the great evening! Opa :)
We went for dinner at 8pm on a Saturday night. Food was excellent, we ate the loup de mer & lamb. We were four people sharing several plates. Prices were reasonable for what we ate & drank. Service was good, although the restaurant was not full & I felt the waiter took long to come back to our table. The negative part of our experience was the atmosphere. Yes the place is lovely & looks nice inside. However the music was absolutely horribly inappropriate for the vibe of the restaurant. Until about 9pm when people began leaving the restaurant the music was this nice kind of Greek lounge type. But then after 9pm it became this intense Greek euro trance type of vibe & the music was SUPER LOUD we couldn't hear ourselves speak!! Unfortunately this is what we remember when we think of our dinner that night.
This restaurant is a true gem! The modern yet cozy ambiance, paired with a fun vibe & great music, sets the perfect tone for a memorable dining experience. The Greek cuisine is delicious, & the service is exceptional. We celebrated my wife's birthday here, & Theo, the manager, & his staff went above & beyond to make our evening unforgettable. Their attention to detail & warm hospitality made us feel truly special. Highly recommended! If you're looking for a fantastic meal & outstanding service, look no further.
