If anyone looking for some bengali food in montreal
this would be
a good choice for you
The food was incredible! We ordered the chicken biryani & beef tehari-both were freshly made & full of flavor. The dishes reminded me of the home-cooked meals I grew up with in my Bengali family. We also got payesh to go, & it was lovely. I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic Bengali cuisine! :)
Excellent experience! 10/10 all around! My wife & I were greeted with top notch hospitality, delicious food & amazing kindness. Thank you!

Its famous for the quality food it serves!
Its open 24/7.
The food is very fresh & tasty.
We ordered Roast Polau. It was freshly made & superb.
Also, when we got there was no kebab. But then the owner cooked for us. She is very cordial & friendly. She will make her guest feel welcome.
She is very generous also gifted us a dessert.
Overall its a fantastic restaurant. This is Bangladeshi origin. Highly recommended.
A Hidden Gem in Montreal - A Taste of Bangladesh!
We traveled from Ottawa for a day trip to Montreal & chose Moonstar based on its high rating. At first glance, the entrance & décor might seem a bit underwhelming, but trust us-once you taste the food, you'll understand why this place is so highly rated.
The flavors took us straight back to Bangladesh, especially the biye bari r roast polau, which was perfectly spiced & incredibly comforting. We also had the tehari & haleem, both bursting with rich, traditional flavors. Every dish felt like a nostalgic trip home.
All in all, highly recommended-this spot is a must-visit for anyone looking for authentic Bangladeshi cuisine in Montreal!
Tried their fish combo - absolutely delicious! The service was excellent, & I'll definitely be going back.
Food is good
Service ok, they try!
Environment: needs upgrade!
BIGGEST PROBLEM: MENU PRICE & THE PRICE THEY CHARGE NEVER SAME!
Took the goat meat plate & it was delicious. Plus, they're open 24h/7 & the quality even at 1am was great. Recommended.
It was our first time in Montreal, & we were looking for a place to eat late at night around 11:00 PM. After struggling to find anything open, we finally came across this gem-& to our surprise, it's open 24 hours! The prices were incredibly cheap, so we ended up ordering a lot of food. Everything we tried was absolutely delicious. We're so glad we found this place-definitely a must-visit if you're in Montreal, especially late at night!
Authentique & très bon! Merci beaucoup à l'équipe pour le service 24 heures, très pratique pour les travailleurs de nuit!
The food was excellent, we had the Kacchi rice with some samosas, it was soo delicious 😋.
The service was perfect, the owner made sure we were having a great time, everybody were welcoming 😊
véritable musée vivant, cette établissement est une perle du quartier parc-ex. Je conseille.
