Marathon Souvlaki in Dollard-des-Ormeaux specializes in fresh, tender meat souvlakis. Marathon Souvlaki has also won an award for the best souvlaki by the Gazette. There are a choice between pork, lamb, chicken or even vegetarian souvlaki. Other dishes are also available at Marathon Souvlaki.
Overall, Marathon Souvlaki is described as a reliable casual Greek spot with generous portions, good value, and consistently tasty dishes like calamari, chicken souvlaki, pork gyro, and the signature Marathon salad, with frequent praise for fast service and friendly staff. The dining options work well for both takeout and sit-down meals, and many reviews highlight the lively, busy atmosphere that makes it a popular go-to, especially in the West Island locations. While the food is largely celebrated, there are occasional critiques about busy or noisy hours, occasional slower or uneven service, and rare notes about changes in portion size or other quirks such as charges for sauces or being asked to wrap up after paying. Still, these are outweighed by repeated recommendations and the sense that Marathon Souvlaki offers dependable, flavorful Greek fare at generous portions and reasonable prices, making it a staple for regulars and newcomers alike.
I really love all the food, but your frozen round rippled fries are not very appetizing.Never have liked them, & I know that you are a franchise, but I used to go to the first one in Laval. We never liked the French fries! The rest is delicious & perfect . Can you offer a different option ? Like greek lemon potatoes, or thin fries , or regular fies ? Thanks for letting us give our opinion 😀
This is probably one of the most underrated restaurant in the West Island. The food is great & portions are generous.
When we order takeout, again portions a good & just looking at the food makes me drool. You can tell it was prepared & cooked by people who care.
I'm looking at my Greek salad right now … big red tomatoes, nice chunk of cucumber with feta cheese & red onions. So fresh & made with quality ingredients.
This franchise offers comforting traditional Greek fare. Their lunch menu provides excellent value for money, a generous portion including flatbread (formerly garlic bread, a bit disappointed), a choice of fries or rice, a salad, & a soft drink. Service can occasionally be slow.
