I got a chicken brochette plate for takeout. It came with 2 chicken brochette, rice, potatoes, a sizeable salad & garlic pita bread. Everything was fresh & delicious. The price was great for what you get. I highly recommend this place to everyone.

Your food will be fresh, the tables clean, & the bathrooms are well taken care of. Any person who takes your order over the phone has the patience of an Angel. This has been standardized. Unfortunately, someone has decided to #%×@* with a great thing. The salad dressing tastes like mayonnaise, the tzatziki tastes like an ingredient is missing, & the toasted bread has been replaced by pita saturated with oil. WHY??!! The person responsible for these changes should be held accountable...please bring back the bread & the proper recipes!

Update 2: Came for dinner August 17, 2026

The food was really good & the portions are massive. I ordered the Chicken Brochette & the waiter a gentlemen said it was 20 minute wait.

The rice salad & chicken was cooked well.

Truly a would recommend.

Original Review: Marathon Souvlaki DDO was okay for me. It was not the best kind of Greek food but the Service was good.

I had their Calamari Plate with Greek salad RIce & their fries (Potato slices) & it was okay. The calamari was small pieces & it was a little bit salty for me. Their Greek salad I would never order again because there was a lot of olive oil on it but their rice & Fries are not bad & they were hot as well so that was a bonus.

They give you garlic bread to start with but our waiter ask us if we want Tzatziki on the side but did not tell us it was worth $5.15. So we said'Yes' & the taste was okay it was not the best kind of Tzatziki.

Their Washrooms were clean & not so bad but the floor was wet & the garbage was full so they need proper maintenance.

The atmosphere was okay clean tables & the waiter we had was kind & polite & checked on us one or two times. It was okay. For me, this may be my last time here but I hope I can come back in the future & try this location again.

Food was good as always.
Been a customer for over 30 years, my 1st visit in DDO.
DID NOT expect to get a surcharge of 2.50$ for cucumbers with my entrée of tzatziki when I am already paying 7.00$ & did not want any bread.
Very disappointing. Usually if there's an extra charge, the waiter/waitress should tell the customer.

Get ready for an over generous delicious meal! We went for a casual dinner as we both love lamb chops which are not available in many places. We ordered a tzatziki appetizer which, with Greek garlic pita bread, was a prelude to an excellent meal. We followed Angelo's advice on medium for the lamb chops as they are heavily marinated. The plates came with a very large salad (choice of Greek or garden), crisp flat Greek fries, rice & 4 large delicious lamb chops. With a glass of ouzo at only 6$ this was a sumptuous meal that we could not finish. Our waiter Angelo made our dinner memorable with his advice, excellent service & carefully packing the dinner we could not finish. We will definitely be back.

I've been going here for 20+ years. It's sad to say that quality went down tremendously. I used to love the marathon salad with a sweet light dressing. Now it's seems like a heavy mayo dressing which is not appetizing. My souvlaki pita was okay, the bread was very stale. This happened from my last few visits. I don't think I will be coming back unless the recipe is back to what it used to be. Good luck!

This franchise offers comforting traditional Greek fare. Their lunch menu provides excellent value for money, a generous portion including flatbread (formerly garlic bread, a bit disappointed), a choice of fries or rice, a salad, & a soft drink. Service can occasionally be slow.
