Reviews for Mandy's
Reviews often mention
salad(30) mands(10) dressing(7) price(6) ingredients(6) crunchy(5) bowl(4) healthy(4) sesame(4) recommend(4) fresh(4) summer(3)Not worth the 30$ salad. The kitchen forgot to add the extra ingredients i paid for & i spent 10 extra minutes during my break to go back. They didn't even apologized. Customer experience is unbearable... Lesson learned i will go elsewhere.
What a dose of expectation vs. Reality. 17 dollars + cash tip for a soggy salad that looked like it was already half eaten when I opened it..I used to go to the westmount location when I lived there & never had this issue so im not sure if this is a location issue or if this is an shinkflation issue but I will not be returing. Even without the lack of food the bowl/flavour is so watery you'd think a salad spinner wasnt used to dry the leaves. I will say the cashier was great!
Mandy's used to be a go-to. Fresh ingredients, generous portions, consistency. That's clearly gone.
Now, $30 gets you a carelessly assembled salad made with produce that often looks like it's on its last leg. Portion sizes have shrunk dramatically while prices continue to climb. Shrinkflation is one thing. Charging premium prices while quality visibly declines is another. Mandy's is both.
What's frustrating is how predictable this feels. A business finds success, expands, & somewhere along the way starts prioritizing margins over the actual product that built the brand. Consistency is what keeps customers loyal. Right now, Mandy's is consistently disappointing.
Customers are the reason you were able to expand. People supported your business because they believed the quality justified the price. That trust disappears quickly when repeat customers feel like they're being taken advantage of.
& if you're going to charge luxury prices for a salad, maybe act like a business that actually values its customers. Respond to the negative reviews. Make things right when people have bad experiences. Ignoring unhappy customers, downgrading your ingredients all while continuing to raise prices is tone-deaf.
Spend your $30 elsewhere. I won't be supporting this business anymore.
J'ai beaucoup apprécié cette chaîne de salad bar santé- une belle option pour manger sainement à Montréal . Le personnel était très sympa
This Mandy's location is only okay. Please go to their other spots. Ordered The Wrangler because I remembered how good it was a few months ago as its seasonal - the meat I got was supposed to be pulled, it was all clumped together like they just defrosted it. Not worth the price at this location.
Used to live in Montreal years ago so was really looking forward to revisiting one of my favourite spots- was sad to see my favourite salad (the Superfood) is no longer on the menu :( Ordered the endless summer instead which was good too, but also sad there aren't pomegranate seeds anymore. Got my dressing on the side & the bowl was so full that it didn't mix in great. Miss the cup/deli container style packaging. & lastly, vibes in the place were pretty low. Still love my Mandy's, but just not quite the same as I remember!
Often delays in order
It s a pity that you are confirmed with a precise time to pickup your order & you often have to wait another 20 minutes after indicated to receive a simple (but good) salad…
8 minutes d'attente pour m'entendre dire qu'ils n'ont pas la matière première pour faire ma salade. Sans excuse ni compétences. Je suis sidéré de penser que des patrons paient un salaire à ces employés…
The food was absolutely delicious. Had 2 of their soups. They were both superb. The music was a bit too loud inside the restaurant. The food was so tasty that we bought both cookbooks!
24$ pour une salade médiocre, composée à 90% de laitue. Quelques bouts de mangue pas mûre.
Mandy's would probably be able to give you more of the non-filler ingredients if they didn't use these these fancy custom paper bags & napkins with your $26 mediocre salad but that's a chain guess.
What a disappointment Mandy's has become . They've halved the size of their salads & upped the price . I never minded paying 30$ for a salad cause it was filling, but now it's just pathetic portion - i made my own salad- walnuts ( maybe there were 4 walnuts, cranberries , like 6 cranberries - tiny amount of lettuce / it's just a rip off - sorry - plus - why are they serving everything with Plastic forks in a tiny cardboard bowl? I was eating IN, not take out
It was 32°c today & I spent 27 dollars on a bowl, but the hostess asked us to wait outside. Really bad service. Can't we sit in there for 10 minutes since we bought our food
I don't understand the hype with this place. The salads are far from amazing & they all taste the same to me. Using canola oil & charging the price they charge is 🚫.... their branding is also a bit extra..
