Mama Khan Restaurant in Montreal offers a flavorful taste of Pakistani cuisine. The chicken karahi was absolutely amazing-rich, tender, & full of authentic spices. The chicken biryani was delicious with perfectly cooked rice & well-seasoned chicken. A special highlight was the fresh garlic naan, soft & fragrant, the perfect complement to the meal. Would 100% go again & again ! The food is amazing, good quality & good price for what it is. I ate chapli kebab, garlic naan, beans & a mango lassi. (Maybe the mango lassi was a tad too small for the price of 7$)
This restaurant is great for two, & probably only for 2 or above. It seems like the dishes were made to be shared for the most part, as the servings are really big & you have to buy the rice separately & anything else for that matter. Nothing comes in a bundle.

After a lot of searching & asking local friends for recommendations I settled on Mama Khan for Pakistani food that my parents were craving.
We arrived early for lunch & were immediately greeted, & seated. Tanbir/Tanvir was a great host front of house & provided background on the restaurant & recommendations for my parents for authentic Peahawari style taste.
My mom continues to rave that it was the best Pakistani food she had on our weeklong trip across Canada.

An absolute must try restaurant in town. authentic Peshawari food. The story, the service & the reason for the existance of this restaurant (social worker servicing the needy) are all great reasons as to why one must visit this restaurant. Without a doubt a feel good restaurant. Most likely to recommend & pay them a visit again. The staff is top of the line! We (Grillades Amira) wish we had the service & execution of this restaurant. The food is really some of the best i've tried here in the city. Its also a great price when you share with other people & split the bill.
In my case we were 4 people, we were all very full & ended up paying around $18 per person with tip included.

Nice find in MTL while traveling with family. Ordered Butt karahis (chicken was better than lamb) which were very similar to those found in Mississauga ie passed our Karahi bar :). Also had their Chapli Kababs which were really good! All that goes with nice naans. Def a must recommendVoir plus

Wow, tout ce qu'on a mangé était vraiment exceptionnel! Les naans & samosas sont faits maison avec des ingrédients de qualité (ça goûtait l'amour)
Il y avait plein de choix végétarien & des plats de viande aussi.
